We had a wonderful stay at Whispering Pines Retreat. Everything was exactly as described, making our trip easy and enjoyable. The condo was comfortable, clean, and pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us.The location was very convenient, with coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance, making it easy to explore the area without having to drive everywhere. The grocery store was also just a short distance away, which made picking up necessities quick and convenient.We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Whispering Pines Retreat to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and pet-friendly place to stay.

The house is so big very good for family or group of friends traveling. The location is perfect, it is near the restaurants, near to pharmacy and food lion. The rooms are huge and clean. They have complete kitchen tools so you can cook. I love the place. The host is very accommodating and very fast to respond even though I messaged very late at night she was able to respond quickly of what I need. They sent us a very detailed pdf that contains all information from check in to check out and also suggestions of what to do in Banner Elk. The experienced was amazing.

This property was perfect for our trip to Banner Elk. Soooo, convenient to all things Banner Elk has to offer. The home was impeccably clean, perfectly ready for our arrival and served our needs beyond our expectations. The owner sent a welcome message, and, to confirm everything was what we expected, it was and more. I give this location and owner my highest recommendation!

Great place to stay. Second time staying there and will definitely book again! The only problem we had was there were only two wash cloths to shower with and we had four people staying.

We highly recommend this property! Alyson was great to deal with, and communicated everything we needed to know. She sends a very detailed info packet that explains everything in the property and how to use it. Very helpful! The townhome was so comfortable and roomy. Comfortable bedding and pillows. The location was great for walking to everything in Banner Elk. It is right across the street from the greenway which we used daily taking our dog to the dog park there. Very pretty creek runs through the park and there is a nice playground for kiddos. Very nicely done. We will rent this property again on our next trip to the area.

The house was very clean, had everything for a comfortable stay and is nicely decorated. The hosts had clear instructions for every aspect of the house. And the location was centrally located in town and convenient for all the area has to offer.

First time using a VRBO and was extremely impressed with this property! Meticulously cleaned and fresh when we arrived. A lot of extras that we didn’t expect in the kitchen/bathrooms, such as dish soap, aluminum foil, plastic sandwich baggies and bath soaps. We appreciated the very quiet neighborhood and the walking distance to town and Lees McRae College. Will definitely stay again!

We had a lovely stay! The location was perfect for enjoying the mountains and riding over to Boone. The house was beautiful and clean! Would love to stay there again.

We loved staying here. Convenience to town is everything to us and being able to walk to restaurants is the best. We love Banner Elk and go every year in the early fall to escape the brutal heat of the SC coast and Banner Elk, Boone, and Blowing Rock never disappoint. Whispering Pines has all the conveniences of home, great outdoor porches, super great beds, well stocked kitchen and nice bathrooms. Alyson is great to work with and very responsive. We plan to return again next year. You can't get closer to town with this townhome. All restaurants in walking distance are superb. Hiking the Crab Orchard Falls, Linville Falls, Elk River Falls, Buckeye Creek falls and visiting the great wineries in the area are the highlights of our trip. Plus this place is pet friendly and there is a great walking park across the street, perfect for daily strolls with Fido. Thank you Alyson for sharing your lovely townhome with us.
