Spacious Lake front cottage, room for the whole family. Excellent fishing.

Enjoy the lake life, and natural beauty of the area while still being conveniently located to so much. This well equipped lakefront home, is perfect for a family get away. Enjoy your morning coffee, or a glass of wine at sunset on the back deck. Take a little ride on the pedal boat, or cast a couple lines right off the end of the dock. This private lake is stocked with fish every year. There is also a gas grill for BBQ-ing, plenty of room for entertaining. If you enjoy hiking, some of the best trails in Michigan are right down the road at Highland Recreation area. Other outdoor activities in the are are, golf courses, horseback riding and pony ride opportunities. Waterford Oaks wave pool. Alpine Valley Ski Resort. This home is one hour from Detroit Metro airport. Fifty five minute from Flints' Bishop International Airport. It's fifty minutes from downtown Detroit, and all the happenings there like, Comerica Park, Ford Field and the casinos. Don't worry if your forgot anything, there is ample shopping , groceries, drugstores and all kinds of amenities close by.

The house was as pictured and had a welcoming feel, fully stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies. The proximity to the lake was perfect and the view of the lake was beautiful. The sunroom that led to back/lake was an especially nice featuture although we couldn't enjoy it much as it was cold in winter. Would absolutely recommend this house in summer.

We enjoyed the home and patio overlooking the lake. Baths and kitchen were well stocked. Enjoyed some fishing from the dock. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

Great view but..

The location is very beautiful, the lake made the trip. However, when we first checked in, we immediately noticed a musty smell, almost like mold, which got to the point where the smell triggered my sister's allergies and she was congested the entire time in the house. There were quite a few spiderwebs around the house in corners and on the furniture outside, and of course spiders come with spiderwebs.When entering the room I was staying in, I did find a (assuming) used tooth flosser on the bed and.. that truthfully wasn't very pleasant to see. I'm not sure if the owners had been in the house for a while, considering the calendar read February and we stayed in May, and the basket of complimentary snacks on the table were expired back in 2024 so that was a bummer. But despite all of that, the lake view was absolutely beautiful. We saw lots of swans and geese, and a few black squirrels in the front yard. They have a long driveway, which keeps it pretty peaceful at night when cars go by, and the beds were relatively comfortable. Overall, 3/5 stars.

Cozy stay in Whitelake

Our stay could not have been more enjoyable.This home is in a beautiful location on the lake totally fenced in with a magnificent deck looking out over the lake- the atmosphere is just terrific.The owners are great to work with responding immediately with any questions or needs you may have.We are very much looking forward to our future stays at this property.

Pleasant and comfortable stay

House is right on the lake - it was very clean and we were made to feel very welcome with a goodies basket and everything supplied like shampoos etc and laundry detergent. Beds were very comfortable

Beautiful lake front home

This was the perfect spot for an intimate Thanksgiving celebration. We loved watching the swans with our perfect view of the lake from the living room. The home was well appointed with everything we needed. Angela was quick to answer our few questions. Would definitely stay again.

From the lakefront views to the little details, like toiletries that are often forgotten, this place had it covered! Perfect home away from home with super responsive hosts for any questions!

Fantastic Relaxation

This property and host were fantastic! We had a lovely view of the lake with all of the ammenities. Our host did a wonderful job of making us feel welcome and supplied everything needed, including a welcome basket and toiletries in case we forgot anything. This was just the getaway we needed and we are thinking of booking again!

It was 100+ degrees back in Tennessee but not at our vintage -vibe lake house. Great to be back in town if only for a weekend.:)
