Secluded, Romantic Yurt w/Hot Tub at The Yurtopian - "Carrie"

After more than 20 years of traveling around the globe and living in far-flung regions, Ann-Tyler and Brian Konradi settled in Wimberley, Texas, where they enjoy the small-town atmosphere and peaceful setting of the Texas Hill Country.

In 2019, they created The Yurtopian to provide a unique experience for guests to come relax in a private retreat with luxury vibes. They found beautiful, brightly colored Mongolian yurts during their travels and knew they would be perfect for the experience they wanted to create.

The Yurtopian reputation grew as their guests began sharing their experiences. Soon they began to receive attention from the media as well as influencers. They eventually created a similar experience in the hills near Dripping Springs. With more land and a wet-weather creek, they could add 10 yurts with the same luxury amenities in a peaceful and private setting.

The Yurtopian now has 16 yurts – each one tucked into the woods, carefully curated with vintage furnishings, and a lot of attention to the details of view corridors and maximum privacy. The original yurts are named for their daughters and other yurts are named for friends and family.

Spanning 46 acres of wooded, hill country, our Dripping Springs Yurtopian Resort is home to 10 secluded yurts where each of our guests enjoy a king-size bed, private hot tub, fire pit, outdoor bathroom, kitchen, gas grill, and a rooftop deck. Explore nearby Pedernales Falls State Park. The Dripping Springs Resort allows access to shops, dining and bars in nearby Dripping Springs, about 5-25 minutes away.

Each of our remote yurts are situated more than 300 feet apart from one another. They are designed to have complete privacy on the lower deck so that you can walk between your yurt, bathroom, hot tub, fire pit, and kitchen without being visible to any other guests on property.

The Yurtopian Dripping Springs welcomes you to our Lodge and Outdoor Pavilion—an inviting space perfect for meeting other guests, gathering with friends, or celebrating special occasions. Available to all guests until 10 pm, this unique amenity offers the comfort of an indoor lodge complete with cozy seating, a dining table, a fireplace, a turntable, records, Bluetooth speakers, and AC/Heat. Outside, you’ll enjoy outdoor seating, a fire pit, a covered pavilion, and amazing hilltop views.
