The Yurtopian's "Lizzie Ger" features a climate-controlled space with a king-size bed, private hot tub, fire pit, outdoor bathroom, kitchen, gas grill, and a rooftop deck. Lizzie Ger is located at the bottom of the hill, near the wet-weather creek and waterfront. There is a stunning view of a rocky cliff area that's great for exploration, especially if you bring your hiking boots! From the rooftop deck, you can enjoy lovely views of the hills to the east, so make sure to wake up early one morning to catch the sunrise. On nights when there's a full moon, the moonrise can be just as spectacular!

Crazy great - just what we needed

My wife and I had a perfect evening. It was a magical escape... incredibly beautiful views of the hill country under a mostly full moon. The bed was perfect and had a great nights sleep. Grilled out with some easy to grab kebabs from the local HEB. Felt like I was in the middle of nowhere - completely relaxing and quiet. Enjoyed the fire pit, rooftop, and hot tub multiple times... wish I was still there. Makes me want to build an outdoor shower at my home :) Perfect little break - can't wait to come back!

After more than 20 years of traveling around the globe and living in far-flung regions, Ann-Tyler and Brian Konradi settled in Wimberley, Texas, where they enjoy the small-town atmosphere and peaceful setting of the Texas Hill Country.

In 2019, they created The Yurtopian to provide a unique experience for guests to come relax in a private retreat with luxury vibes. They found beautiful, brightly colored Mongolian yurts during their travels and knew they would be perfect for the experience they wanted to create.

The Yurtopian reputation grew as their guests began sharing their experiences. Soon they began to receive attention from the media as well as influencers. They eventually created a similar experience in the hills near Dripping Springs. With more land and a wet-weather creek, they could add 10 yurts with the same luxury amenities in a peaceful and private setting.

The Yurtopian now has 16 yurts – each one tucked into the woods, carefully curated with vintage furnishings, and a lot of attention to the details of view corridors and maximum privacy. The original yurts are named for their daughters and other yurts are named for friends and family.
