Room 1402 is were we stayed. Lots of positives for sure. Good sized suite, acceptable wifi, great pool, solid kitchen appliances, functional washer/ dryer in unit, and great location immediately come to mind. The property manager was very responsive when we mentioned a few items we needed done ( like scheduling cleaners). Issues that will need to be addressed going forward are: uncomfortable bed in main bedroom. Sub-par pillows and sheets in bedrooms as well.Tge pillows feel like a sack of socks, and the sheets had holes in them! The AC unit in the main bedroom was not working when we arrived. It took about 3 days to get that serviced properly. Unfortunately, at the end of our stay, the same AC unit stopped working again, so it was very warm in the unit, making it hard to sleep. Probably a refrigerant leak. One last thing, we stayed over the Christmas/ New years holiday, so the street noise was very noticeable, even at night! That didn't bother me, but my wife had her white noise device going all the time to block it out.

Challenging Stay

First of all, the property is beautiful and the security staff were friendly and helpful.When we first got there, the unit had no sharp knives to chop, no salad or mixing bowl, no garbage bags, no toilet paper, no toaster and no wine glasses. When we asked, all of these things were provided in a timely basis. We also didn't have access to the gym that was advertised. Even with multiple followups, it took two weeks before we received access. The biggest issue though, was the smell eminating from the main bathroom in the unit. It appeared around mid day, almost daily and then dissipated into the evening. We tried everything - running the shower, the tap on the sink, the fan in the bathroom. Maintenance was sent in a couple of times to troubleshoot the issue. Ultimately the host moved us to another property. Again the views were awesome at the new place, but many things in kitchen required to prepare a meal were missing.- knives to chop, coffee maker, dish rack or even a dish towel to dry dishes. There was only one sink so drip drying in a second sink was not an option (we resorted to using a bath towel). We asked for and received a coffee maker but that was it. There was no outlet in the kitchen to plug in the microwave except behind the sink (had to place the microwave on top of the sink to reach the outlet). This was our toughest accommodation to date and we have stayed in many across the various sharing platforms. It was quite disappointing.

Mazatlan March 2025

We had the pleasure of staying in this condo for twelve days. It's a beautiful condo overlooking the Malecon, the building is quite new and the condo manager was fantastic as were the 24/7 Security guards always ready to open the door with a smile! That said, there were some glitches at check-in...when we arrived, the condo manager had no record of our rental. It took a a while to sort it out but thankfully our reservation was found.As for the condo, it has great views and was very clean. I have stayed in VRBO's across Canada, USA, Europe and Mexico. In my experience, the condo is not as well stocked as I would expect...no clothes hangers ( bought some), be prepared to buy basic necessities like toilet paper. The kitchen has very basic plates, cutlery, etc. As with most Mexican beds, the mattresses are very firm. The location is fine, just a short taxi or pulmonia ride away from el Centro or a twenty minute walk to Soriana's, the closest grocery store. The back balcony looks out onto the park, our favourite spot for morning coffee!As it overlooks the Malecon and a busy road, expect some traffic noise when sitting on the front balcony.The pool area was nice and clean. I would consider staying there again.

Brief stay

One night stay to catch a flight the next day. Location on the malecon was perfect space was plenty for the 4 of us, very clean and would be a great place to stay for several days I only did a 4 star because when we arrived security did not have us posted as guest and we had to wait over an hour before we finally were able to access the room and I had paid extra for early checkin. We also needed to use the sofa couch and there were no bedding or extra pillows provided. Host responds very quickly to any questions which was fantastic go to our room.

Oceanview Condo in a great location

The condo is in a great location with great views of the ocean, beach and the Malecon from the front patio and a great view from the back patio of the river, stadium and aquarium. We walked the boardwalk every day, walked to many restaurants and the aquarium. The condo is very new and clean. Loved it! Our host Gabriel responded very quickly to ever question we had. The pool is lovely too.
