Cette belle maison de vacances privée au bord de l'eau est située sur le 165 + ft de pittoresque rivage à Gills Rock, Wisconsin. Les fenêtres du sol au plafond offrent une vue panoramique sur l'eau vers Hedgehog Harbor depuis la cuisine, la salle à manger, le salon et la chambre. Les magnifiques couchers de soleil surplombant Door Bluff peuvent être appréciés depuis l'intérieur de la maison ou depuis le grand patio extérieur en dalles dans la cour arrière. Le patio est idéal pour se divertir avec un espace privé pour les grillades et un foyer.

La plage au bord du lac offre de grandes possibilités de baignade et de plaisir aquatique pour les amateurs d'eau. Il y a aussi un bain à remous situé directement sur la rive du lac. La propriété est située à seulement deux minutes à pied d'une marina. La maison dispose d'un garage attenant spacieux pour trois voitures utilisé comme salle de jeux au rez-de-chaussée de la maison (partagé avec une autre unité) avec un accès facile à l'unité. Le concept de plancher ouvert permet un grand flux entre le salon, la salle à manger et la cuisine avec de beaux carreaux et parquet et des panneaux muraux en bois spécialement importés. La cuisine mise à jour a de magnifiques comptoirs en granit, de nouveaux appareils électroménagers et des armoires de couleur cerise chic. La salle de bains carrelée spacieuse et facile d'accès au rez-de-chaussée comprend également un sauna au feu de bois.

Les vieilles poutres de chambre situées dans le loft offrent à cette pièce privée beaucoup de charme en plus de belles vues supplémentaires sur le lac.
Il y a un lit queen et lits jumeaux dans le grenier, un canapé-lit dans la salle à manger et un canapé-lit dans le salon.

Great space in great location
Great views and really fun location with the lake right there and kayaks and paddleboards for exploring. The location is nice and quiet but still close to nice parks and restaurants. The ferry to Washington island is right around the corner. The bathroom is really nice and the place was very clean. The outdoor space while lovely did have a table covered in spider webs that was slightly unappealing while trying to eat dinner out there. Overall though would say this place was beautiful clean and fun and would 100% stay here again.

This was our second year returning to Door County and we loved the quietness of this cottage. Love cycling the peninsula, nice roads, and friendly people.

Misleading. Poor value
Photo looks like a whole home, it’s two units. A small unit. Photo shows a staircase, we got there and it was blocked with a huge bookcase. The stairs we got were so steep and narrow we had to go up/down sideways. Nails in the wall cut my shoulder. We had to sleep downstairs on a pull out. We were woken up by mice every morning. Cobwebs and dust. Counters were wiped down as well as the bathroom. Nice shower. It is a million dollar view yes but a $100.00/nite unit. Over $1300.00/three nights was a horrible value.

Quiet and relaxing oasis with the best view in Door County
This was our second stay and we stayed for 5 nights. We love it as it is dog friendly, clean and quaint. We enjoyed the fire pit, grill station, hammock and kayaking during sunsets. The views are incredible outside and from the inside. We stayed off season so it was quite chilly, but you can always warm up in the indoor sauna:). Great hiking opportunities in the nearby state parks (Newport and Death Door Bluff), The hosts are very friendly and responsive. Highly recommended!

Waterfront Dream
Beautiful, clean, well-kept property in a very quiet neighborhood. Can't beat the view! Kitchen is well stocked, hot tub and sauna are luxurious. We enjoyed relaxing in this comfortable home after a day hiking in the nearby parks. I have only two small suggestions. It would be really nice to have two reading lamps at the bedside, one for each side of the bed. Also, it would be good to use unscented laundry products for the bed linens, as some people are sensitive to perfumes. All in all, this is one of the very best vacation rentals that we have ever stayed in and we hope to come back again next year. We stayed five nights and it was just right for a great vacation exploring Door County. Thanks Gretel and Dan!

Great cottage!
I stayed at this cottage with my husband and our dog for four nights. We had a lovely time and really enjoyed the setting directly on the water. It's truly a fantastic location and cottage and we're planning to return next year. Access was easy. The cottage was clean and tidy when we arrived. (There was a strong scent of air fresheners when we arrived, but were able to air it out.) There's plenty of comfortable seating. The kitchen was fully stocked and great for cooking. The grill area worked well. The bathroom was awesome; large, updated, plenty of hot water. The shower was very comfortable. The heated floors and sauna were such a nice perk. The lake and private beach were viewable from everywhere in the cottage. The view through the huge windows was stunning and exactly what we hoped for. The hammock trees were so enjoyable. The lofted bedroom was spacious and fine for us (both under 6') and includes a stunning view of the lake. The full size bed was comfortable and clean. The stairs up to the loft are steeper/narrower than standard and uncarpeted. We were fine navigating them, as long as we paid attention. Our active, 45# dog struggled with them and needed a spot when he went up and down. Definitely not enough of an issue to skip this cottage, but something to be aware of in case mobility (human or canine) is an issue. Overall, highly recommended!

This is a great quiet and peaceful property with amazing views. Close to so many beautiful hikes and shops... all no more than 30 min at most. Door County in the summer is wonderful but winter is also a must! Many things still open off-season!

Perfect winter getaway!
Cottage is even more beautiful in person than it is in the pictures, and WOW, the view of the bay is spectacular! We had everything we needed and were so cozy for our winter visit. The hot tub wasn’t available to use (it’s positioned close to the beach and would be too frozen, it’s actually noted on the listing but we missed it before booking), but there were so many other things to do we didn’t mind. There’s a fantastic game room (shared with the other rental unit) with a pool table and a big collection of board games where we spent a lot of time. There’s also a private sauna, inside the unit we stayed in, great for warming up after a winter hike. Bed and couch were both soft and comfy, there are a lot of nice little hangout areas all over the house. The bathroom was also one of the best bathrooms I’ve seen in a vacation rental, with a huuuuge shower! It is worth noting that the stairs to the loft, where both beds are, are very steep and those with mobility issues may struggle. The location is also far north on the peninsula, so prepare to drive plenty. We had a stunning view of the stars at night though and lots of peace and quiet, exactly what we wanted! Recommend checking out Hügel Haus, it’s under 10 minutes drive from the house, and Al Johnson’s in Sister Bay is not too much further than that. Gretel and Dan were great hosts, communication was easy and they were so kind and accommodating! We were sad to go home, can’t wait to come back soon!

Hedgehog Harbor Christmas !
Great getaway for Christmas. LOVED the sauna , was hoping to use the hot tub on the water too, but must only be open in summer - will have to come back to try it! We cooked a lot and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed! The patio and bonfire pit were awesome. Amazing views- beautiful rocky beach. Our dog loved the yard, beach, and nearby parks !

A cozy and relaxing retreat by the water
We had a wonderful time at this cabin! The location is great, and we look forward to coming back when the hot tub is available for use, as we learned it is closed down for the season. It's a charming space and the view cannot be beat! There are skylights in the bedroom and larger living space, so bring a sleep mask if you are light sensitive. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the addition of some blankets on the couch would make it even cozier in cooler weather. We look forward to coming back with friends so that we can share the two adjoining properties and meet up to play pool in the space between both properties.

We recently stayed here for a long weekend. Everything was as advertised. The location is quiet and RIGHT ON THE WATER. We will go back for sure. Dan, the owner, stopped by to help us with the wifi as he lives just a few doors down. Highly recommend this property!

My normal spot was booked so I took a chance on this property and it was amazing. The view is wonderful and the hot tub and sauna added extra perks. The location was quiet but still close to everything. It was a great find.

Enjoyed this fantastic property!
Everything about our stay was flawless! From the paradise-like setting and amazing view to the remote-but-easily-accessible location. The bed was as comfortable as our own at home and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and eat in a few times. We greatly enjoyed soaking in the hot tub twice a day at the water’s edge, in fact we caught some beautiful sunsets from there! It was fun watching the boats and ships go by while we relaxed on the patio. The game room is very nice and we played a few games of pool. It was a short walk to the Shoreline restaurant and Charlie’s Smokhouse and a few gift shops with extremely welcoming owners. Even though Sister Bay is only 10 minutes away, we felt at all times like we were really “off the beaten path”. The stairway up to the loft is somewhat narrow and steep but it wasn’t a problem for us. Our trip was amazing and we would definitely stay here again!

Anniversary getaway
The property was just outstanding!!! From the hot tub at the lakes edge, to the hammock. We would have been happy without ever leaving, but there is just so much to see and do all within 20 minutes. From sunset cruise to just sharing a bottle of wine at the restaurant that is maybe a 2 minute drive. We will definitely be returning, and will be staying here again.

Fantastic view
Dan and Gretel are excellent hosts. They are responsive, the house is extremely clean and they provide many, many things to do. There are kayaks, paddle boards, bicycles, pool table, hot tub and many board games. Plus a wonderful patio with a fire pit and grill station. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

Awesome Property
Our three-night stay exceeded our expectations in every way. The house is clean and comfortable and has everything you need. The view of the lake is stunning. We enjoyed using the paddleboards, bikes, hot tub, sauna, firepit, and pool table. Dan was very friendly and did a good job ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, this was a great place to stay, and I can’t wait until next summer when we return.
