Our home accommodates a maximum of 12 registered guests. Additional guests may be permitted for an additional per-person fee and must receive approval in advance.

Pets may also be permitted with prior approval and an applicable pet fee. Please contact us before bringing a pet so arrangements can be confirmed.

For the comfort and safety of our guests, smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited anywhere inside the property.

Please also note that the basement is not accessible to guests and is not included as part of the rental space.

It was a very convenient location. Less than 20 minutes from everything one could hope to do in the Poconos. The house itself was beautiful with many spacious areas and many memories were made in that house. I would stay here again!

Great place to hang and go to some local fun

I love on the same street as the house and needed more space for when my family came in for a big event. It was a perfect place to hang out and enjoy all the family. Plenty of room to spread out, very clean and comfortable.

Staging house for wedding

The place was fairly sparsely furnished, but was adequate. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Kitchen was adequate. We were only there two nights, but it was plenty roomy for 10 adults and 5 young children.

Amazing Stay !!

We had an amazing stay at Helen's place! The house was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The location was perfect, with plenty of options nearby. Helen was a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We appreciated the extra touches, such as Hot tub.. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay. Five stars and can't wait to come back.

We really like the house it was big and comfortable. But it needs more mirrors and dresses in the bedrooms. And the person who cleans the house needs clean better. Under the kitchen sick was mouse pop and the floors dirty and dusty. I came to celebrate my husband and daughter birthday with the family. Thank you everything else was good.

Home away from home

The interior of the house was pleasant and spacious, but unfortunately the property was not as advertised.One of the main reasons we booked this property was for the large backyard shown in the listing so our group could play lawn games. In reality, the yard was mostly dirt, mud, rocks, exposed roots, and very uneven ground, making it unusable and unsafe. See photos. We also arrived at check-in to find the owner still cleaning. We explained that we were hosting a surprise party with guests arriving in about 40 minutes, but she made us wait 10-15 min and once we were let in she had to continue cleaning while we were trying to set up. While she was kind and tried to stay out of our way, having the owner there during the start of our stay was uncomfortable and made preparing for our event difficult and rushed. She later offered a late checkout, but we needed that time at the beginning, not the end as we already planned to leave at the scheduled check out time.There also wasn’t enough toilet paper, the “hand towels” were washcloths, and the grill was in poor condition with no brush to clean it.We brought these concerns to her attention afterward, but she did not offer any refund and stated that we should have raised the issues while she was there which was while we were trying to host our surprise party. Enough time was already wasted. Overall, the experience was a bit disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback, Leanna. I’m sorry that your stay did not fully meet your expectations. I would, however, like to clarify a few points for future guests reading this review. I acknowledged that the home was not completely ready at your arrival and apologized for the brief delay. Before leaving, I specifically asked if there was anything else you needed, and you told me there was not. I also learned upon arrival that you had brought a dog, which had not been disclosed prior to check-in. Given the inconvenience with the delayed check-in, I waived the pet fee entirely. Additionally, I offered you three complimentary hours of late checkout, which you accepted, and I immediately changed your checkout time in the Vrbo app from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. None of the additional concerns mentioned in this review were brought to my attention during the stay, which unfortunately prevented me from addressing them immediately. After checkout, I did not receive a message from you regarding these concerns; instead, I was contacted through Airbnb regarding a request for financial compensation. I always welcome guests bringing concerns to my attention during their stay so that I have an opportunity to resolve them promptly. I appreciate your feedback and will continue working to provide a comfortable experience for all guests.

The place was freezing! Following the directions to use the heaters was only successful on a couple of the units. Most of them just sat at the minimum heat levels. NONE of the TVs worked or at least didn't have any service. There were NO directions on how to use them, and many tries with both remotes resulted only in frustration. Someone left the window open in the main bathroom until we got there...don't know why. The ceiling in one of the rooms was coming down, and there were cracks in the molding. We took pictures of all of these. The upstairs bathroom is nearly unusable, and there is an ill-fitting blind in it. The Christmas tree seemed a little bit cheery at least, although it was March. There was a beeping like a bad smoke alarm battery that we could never locate, and it may have been locked in an area we couldn't get in...maybe in the fire hazard area of the living room with the many cords connecting to different items that we couldn't get to. Some of the furniture was shaky or torn...I frankly have never had a worse experience in a dwelling, but gave it two stars because it did have a good number of rooms and bathrooms. I don't understand all the high ratings that this has received, as I would never stay here agian, and probably not use VRBO again, either.

Family get together.

Past VRBO experiences included instruction booklet for the specifics of the property - heaters, TVs (ok, we're boomer impaired). Other than WIFI notes there were none but we figured out most things. We were confused about the change in access code between our initial arrival and the next entry. Not somethings we've experienced with VRBOs in the past. The owner did reach out to offer help if we needed anything. We had two toddlers so spacious rooms were ideal but we suspect the mop last used for the floors needs changing. Upon arrival we had to remove the mouse trapped in stove storage area - couldn't detach from sticky pad so put it in the yard. Garbage disposal never worked so we had to plunge frequently. Kitchen utilities were sparse for cooking - no casserole dish, measuring cup. Comfy beds, plenty of towels and bathroom supplies. All in all we had a nice get together with family we don't frequently see but we can't give it 5 stars.

From the moment we walked in, we knew it was going to be awful. The house is overgrown and the view is two slum apartment buildings. The house immediately smelled awful. The rooms were filthy with trash under the beds and couch. Two of the bedrooms, the laundry room, and the basement had black mold. The owner sent people who had no idea what to do. The cleaning lady stated that it was dangerous and we should not even stay there. We closed up half the house and sealed it with towels. We lost 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Some of us had to sleep on the floor on mattresses. The air conditioners took a maintenance person to get them to work. The TVs never worked. The owner was responsive but pretty rude. She tried to offer 100 for our inconvenience. 100 for the loss of two bedrooms with queen beds and a bathroom. With 6 women these were valuable commodities. The outside is just old and overgrown. The patio is in very poor condition with chipped paint. The kitchen has a mix variety of things but is missing important items. The fridge was clean and worked well. The bathrooms were clean. Also, we were told the house was ADA compliant but every entry had steps. I don't recommend this area at all if your visiting the Poconos. Go stay by one of the resorts. I definitely don't recommend this house to anyone. VRBO should shut it down until the mold is eradicated. Our vacation was ruined. Very disappointed.
