Full size bed in the second bedroom and bunk beds (4) in the third. Brand new, fully stocked kitchen, with deep stainless steel sink, custom lighted faucet, and granite countertops. Difficulty with not receiving the code to get in prior to my arrival was very frustrating. Home was well stocked with things for our stay but kitchen supplies not clean or good. We washed the utensils, pots and coffee pot before we could use them. Not the end of world but was disappointed for the price. The main floor bedroom are 2 sets of bunks which is difficult for someone with mobility issues. Walker would not fit. No front stair railings if mobility issues with stairs. The back door wall is still broke. 1 bathroom upstairs you need to go through the bedroom to get to. Sunrise and sunset was beautiful. It was for a family girls night so met our needs.

Upsides:- Beautiful location/view of Lake St. Clair.- Very clean,- Updated with modern amenities. - Lots of big tvs and netflix streaming available- Caught a couple nice bass from the boat platform.Downsides:- The pic showing the lake and a dock was the main attraction, but it is not really possible to safely launch a watercraft or go swimming from this property due to a 6 foot seawall. Our canoe never left the car roof. - The upstairs gets really hot even with the air conditioning going. Also, it is hard to navigate up there because the rooms are small but the furniture is very big as are the wood doors.

Host never responded to requests (from me & VRBO, via phone & or email) for code to check in. Back door lock was broken. There was a note that said, “parts ordered”
 Access to the lake was either off the end of the rickety dock or the construction ladder that was tied to the sea wall. Dishes in cupboard were dirty
 and drawers / cupboards full of utensils and dishes. Think Goodwill. AC was not working upstairs. The property was shared with another home/duplex, that appeared to have a long-term renter who called out to me in the backyard from his balcony that overlooked the shared backyard
 and the other half of duplex, was a short term rental, that was rented to a couple with a dog. We also had my two pups with us. Someone left dog mess in the front yard. The sheets were polyester, microfiber. The ladders on the bunk beds were not secured to bed. This was a nightmare. We tried to tough it out, but after one night without AC upstairs and no response from owner, we left the property. I was so disappointed and shocked by the trash of this property, the only picture I took was that of the note where the lock was broken.

Nice home but has issues

House was nice, however (1) parking issues due to no advance instructions. One car driveway for two homes. (2) upstairs, where master bedroom is located was hot and hard to cool. No fans were in the house. (3) linens and towels were in poor condition, pillows and mattress pad were gross.Location was excellent, but we wouldn't stay again.

Not completely truthful

Never in any of the descriptions of the property was there mention that it was 2 levels and the adult rooms were both upstairs. To get to the bathroom from the 2nd bdrm., you had to go thru the master. The downstairs bdrm. is very small with 2 bunk beds that looks like a prison cell. We are senior citizens and my friend could not get up the stairs as they were extremely narrow. No hand rail on the front stairs to get in. Very dirty, dusty and many cobwebs. The towels are all stained! Not a happy camper.The view, on the other hand, was stunning.

Hot upstairs

Everything was great except the weather was hot for the time of year turn on AC to cool the ground floor was great almost too cold but when you went upstairs it was very hot I think ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms would help a lot that was the only issue everything else was great

Beautiful Property

The lockbox code did not work for us; however, we were still able to get in. The house and view were beautiful. I will definitely be back.

There was a few problems. Not enough towels or toilet paper after it was listed it was provided. Host said there was a problem with theft. We went and bought extra towels and toilet paper. Sheets and comforters did not smell clean and had dirty spits on them.

Nice house on Lake St. Clair

House was very clean, kitchen well stocked. House was a little small for 9 guests but plenty of outside space. Owner / manager easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Located on a main road but house is set back a little ways.

Great place for Peeps, not so great for boats

House was awesome, very clean and well equipped, nice grill and fire pit for outdoorsy people and beautiful views of the water. The boat dock was solid and offered a canopy for protection, but there’s no cleats for tying off and the water level is 5’-6’ below the deck, which makes it difficult for boarding and unboarding the boat

Family get together

Location on lake was excellent. A perfect getaway for my family visiting from Wa state. Enjoyed the house everything was clean and fresh. Would rent again in future.
