180 Degree Lakefront Views-Fire Pit-Swimming

Gorgeous 180 degree vistas of Long Pond with floor to ceiling picturesque windows and 6 skylights! This lovely cottage sits 35’ feet from water's-edge and sleeps 4. Swim, have a fire or just relax inside while watching the Long Pond wildlife from all angles. Day trip to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Blue Hill, Belfast and more along the coast of Maine. Incredible views from windows and skylights give you the feeling of being outdoors while enjoying any kind of weather during your stay! Dining or relaxing on the interior gives one a sense of being in a houseboat or on a cruise ship, or even feel as if you are outdoors, yes, it’s that close to the water’s edge!

2 private bedrooms, 1 queen size foldout couch, and sleeping loft with a queen sized bed.

We cannot provide any watercraft that guests can use due to insurance reasons, but you are welcome to bring your own kayaks or other water craft.

THE EAT- IN KITCHEN -
- There is a large open / eat-in kitchen with a full size refrigerator with an ice maker.
- A glass top electric stove with an overhead microwave with vents that channel cooking smells and steam to the outside so that the cottage will smell clean for the next guests.
- There is a dishwasher next to the kitchen sink!

There are also ample pots, pans and dishes as well as numerous "kitchen gadgets" you may need during your stay!
We also have small appliances, a Rice Cooker, Coffee Bean Grinder, Panini Grill, Crockpot, Blender and more!

DINING ARRANGEMENTS -

This cottage can seat a total of 10 comfortably between the dining and the kitchen tables.

- PLEASE - We must ask that you EAT ONLY in these 2 designated indoor areas only! Please no food in any other rooms, we are conscious of keeping our cottage bug free and ultra clean!

* Cooking Your Seafood on the Grill -
Imagine grilling your fresh catch 🎣, lobsters 🦞, shrimp 🦐 and steaks 🥩 while admiring a gorgeous sunset from the protection of this covered deck!

* Additional cleaning charges for foods that are cooked that cause overwhelming smells will be charged to your card.

DINING OUTDOORS -
There is a heavy-duty picnic bench with an umbrella for your use under our shady trees overlooking the lake, please do not leave the picnic bench with food, you will attract unwanted animals!

COZY LIVING AREAS - THE LIVING ROOM -
Adjoining the kitchen is the living room facing the lake with a large supple leather sofa sectional that can comfortably seat up to 6 persons.

ROKU TV is available with your own streaming logins. The TV is enabled for streaming services, wifi is provided, but guests need to use their own login credentials for any streaming service.

WIFI: A Fidium Fiber 2 Gig internet plan provides extremely fast, symmetrical speeds of up to 2000 Mbps (2 Gigabits per second) for both downloads and uploads

ELECTRIC FIREPLACE -
* The Smart TV sets atop a faux fireplace, equipped with 4 modes for visual romantic ambiance or if need be, 4 heat modes for those chilly fall nights.

OPEN AREA - A.C. COOLING -
A wall mounted air conditioning unit is located near the loft stairs, this can be used along with our numerous ceiling fans to cool off the open living room, sitting room, kitchen and dining areas, it is always set on 70 degrees F.

Dining Room -
From the living room, step down onto the open dining and sitting room facing the lake, you will find a 6 - person dining area as well as a sitting area with a soft microfiber sofa that pulls out to a queen size sleeper sofa.

OVERVIEW - THE BEDROOMS -
Each bedroom has a high quality Queen sized Tempur-Pedic brand memory foam mattress. There’s a closet for each room for your hanging clothes and other belongings. You’ll also find bath linens provided in each bedroom closet. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans with light kits and wall mounted A.C. Units with remote controls.

PETS: We are pet-friendly! We have simple pet rules: clean up after your pet (inside and outside the cabin), keep your pet leashed while outside at all times to avoid any issues with other pets, and do not leave pets alone in the cabins

COZY OPEN LOFT -
The open loft can be used as a meditation room, game room and/or extra sleeping accommodations, please let us know in advance so we can set up the Loft for your needs if any.
There is a queen bed and numerous bean bag chairs available for seating.
* Caution - The loft is a little low on ceiling height ( 5' 4").

LOFT SKYLIGHTS - (6 Total).
The skylight windows up in this loft can be cracked open to release hot air quickly from this home.( Please be sure to close windows or leave cracked open by 1 - inch, when not using or if you’re not home.)

BATHROOM / LAUNDRY -
The generously sized bathroom has an adorable nautical/Spa theme, with a glass enclosed shower / tub combo, a sink, a toilet, a ceiling fan with a light kit and a full sized stacked washer/dryer.

BATHROOM — EXIT & ENTRY DOOR —
The bathroom has a secure exterior door that provides a side EXIT / ENTRY that leads out to a small deck and a wrap-around enclosed gated area.

EXTERIOR BATHROOM DOOR -
This door is also a preferred entrance by guests and provides a second emergency exit door for this cottage.
It’s quickly accessible from your parking spot, great for bringing in groceries and if you need to come inside and wash off from a day of hiking, kayaking and/or fishing for your convenience.
* Also quickly accessible from your bedrooms in the event you need to exit quickly!

RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS:

Keep the A/C set to 70 degrees. Close bedroom doors when A/C is on. Turn off A/C when gone from the house. Only open windows with screens
Keep noise to a reasonable level
Keep trash cans covered
Keep skylights closed if not home or cracked no more than 1 inch if rain is expected
Only firewood to be burnt in the fire pit
The house is on a septic system: no grease or food down the drains and do not flush anything other than toilet paper
We do not provide bleach and ask that you do not use it
Clean out the dryer lint filter prior to use
Only wash and dry your own laundry from your travels
TO QUICKLY COOL THIS HOME - When not using the air conditioning:* Please open only windows and skylight windows with screens in them and please do not leave these windows open, if it starts to rain or if you’re not home, if it rains and you fail to close or leave these skylights cracked open by 1 - inch and there is water damage, this will be charged to your card.
CONTROLLING HEAT - We have black-out drapes throughout the home, the sun sets on the lakeside of the property, so close those drapes and blinds before you leave and you’ll return to a much cooler home! (These black-out drapes and blinds give you privacy and keep the whole cottage cooler!)
HOME HEATING - FALL & WINTER - For those chilly FALL & WINTER days and nights, we have baseboard heating throughout, with 2 - zones and 2 - temperature controls. ( We can quickly brief you on how this 2 - part system works.)
