À propos du quartier

Isle of Palms

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our week here, the house was in a wonderful location, clean and well setup with amazing views of the beach. The beach was quiet while we were there and the walk down there wasn’t far at all. There were a few things that were disappointing about the house. It had a very strong smoke odor when we arrived, when I contacted Island Realty they brought a small air purifier and replaced the a/c filters which I appreciated, the smell was still strong throughout the week we were there. The WiFi was very flaky, but we didn’t need it much. We come to Charleston twice a year and have used Island Realty multiple times. This is the first rental I have been disappointed with would not return to again.

Disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a very disappointing stay. I knew we were in trouble when I read a guest review from just prior to our check-in reporting the house smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. They weren't lying! This deterred us from enjoying the home, in spite of its stellar location. Additionally, the home was not well cleaned- there was sand in the couch creases and on top of the bedding, dusty doors, sticky surfaces in the kitchen. The furniture is worn out and generally dirty (leather peeling off the sofa), closet doors with many large scuff marks, moldy shower, peeling paint off the back deck, broken AC vent cover in the dinind room, and many large spots of mold and mildew on the ceiling of the open storage area underneath the house. Sadly, we felt misled especially regarding the cigarette smoke issue and the house is overpriced given so many maintenance issues.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time! The view of the ocean and easy access to the beach helped make this a memorable week. The house was nicely maintained and clean. One idea/suggestion: for families with toddlers (hand raised!), a gate at the top of the deck stairs would be a good addition..

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was really nice and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook tasty meals. The view was spectacular! The only downside was the dog poop in the backyard. Before we could enjoy being outside, we had to pick up a lot of dog poop. I will never understand why pet owners don’t clean up after their dogs.

Amazing house for a family vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was amazing and definitely somewhere we hope to stay again. We usually vacation in the Lowcountry every summer and have stayed at various properties. This takes the cake. We decided to vacation with our 2 dogs this summer and found this house because of it was extremely dog friendly. It really was. Even without dogs, we would have loved this property. The icing on the cake was the huge fenced in back yard. Our dogs loved this and we loved them having a safe place to go outside. House came equipped with absolutely everything you could nee as far as supplies and amenities. I loved that there was no carpet because that’s a plus if you have dogs.
