I really enjoyed my time here. The house was fun and old and it was in a really quiet neighborhood. It is a great place for a woman traveling alone.

There was no reason to expect a living space based on the description at booking. Also, checkout instructions most certainly exist within the app and the physical instructions inside the apartment, though they are brief and were obviously overlooked and unfollowed by Karen. Still, I left a stellar review for their stay only to receive this review in return. Reviews like this only serve to negatively impact this small business, just trying to offer an affordable place to stay for travelers. Please consider removing this review since the statements are untruthful.

Great host, really convenient to APT. Because it is the only gathering common area, a couple more chairs for kitchen would be nice and a few more cups. It was easy to find and clean. We had a nice stay. Ate at a nearby restaurant that had great food and service.

We stayed at Peter’s place 5 nights while attending plays at the American Players Theatre. It basic accommodations, 2 bedrooms a bathroom with shower and kitchen. Everything appears pretty worn with the exception of the kitchen appliances and the beds. The price is good for the area.

Please be sure to read the full description before booking a stay at The Yellow House. My aim is to be honest with what to expect and offer the most affordable option to travelers. Reviews like Mr. Stenken's only serve to negatively impact this small business and it's goals. I've pleaded this case with Mr. Stenken to please remove his review. He said he would but still has not. One cannot pay for the least expensive place in town and expect the Ritz Carlton. That is my basis for why I can no longer recommend his stay to other hosts.

Our stay was flawless. No problems. Vrbo communications weren't great but communications with Peter Fisk were excellent and timely. Not a luxury rental but a very good value for the cost. Will stay here again next year if it is available.

Easy stay in lovely Spring Green!

I had a fantastic stay at Peter's house. The check-in process was super easy with a custom door code and Peter was very communicative. The house was simple and rustic but had all the essentials - towels, linens, pots, pans. The location was incredible - right on the main street of Spring Green, and a few blocks from restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. There was WiFi but no other electronics, TV, etc. which was great - it encouraged me to get outside! Highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway or extended stay!

We are traveling artists and always appreciate finding affordable places to stay. Yes, it is an older home and is exactly as described. If you don’t need anything fancy except a comfy bed, clean and quiet, this place is just that. Will easily stay again!
