Charming 1950's Cottage Steps from the Lake

Surround yourself with nature in one of Little Elm's earlier homes. This lovingly restored antique 3-bedroom cottage offers a peaceful retreat for guests. With its cozy atmosphere and decor, you'll feel right at home. The bedrooms feature a variety of sleeping arrangements, including a newly re-imagined Mermaid Quarters, two twins that convert to a king, and a king bed. The cottage also boasts a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room, a large dining space and comfortable living area, and two bathrooms. Enjoy games and books and two televisions inside and a .6 acre yard directly across from the edge of the lake and heavily wooded trails. The Cove (indoor waterpark) is at the corner of the street, and the wake board park, beach, and many dining options are all very close, as well. Multiple trails ensure you'll get plenty of exercise after feasting at the town's wonderful restaurants! And we even have an adorable teardrop trailer available for your more adventurous guests. It sleeps two very comfortably and is an additional rental option.

We had such a relaxing time at The Cottage! Everything was perfect - coffee on the front porch swing in the mornings, napping in the comfortable bed during a rainy Saturday, and an easy walk around the Lake on Sunday! We will be back!!

The Lakeside Cottage was perfect for our multi-generational family to stay while in town celebrating my son’s college graduation. It was just as pictured! Beautifully updated. Large front porch for catching up with family. The large kitchen and dining table were perfect for multiple family meals. And the hiking trail across the street and along the lake was such a beautiful escape.. Our host was super responsive, very kind and accommodating. I recommend this home to anyone looking for a pet friendly home for their family. Such a gem!Thank you, Suzi and Kip for sharing your home.

This was our home for a month while our house was being remodeled. It was perfect for us. It is spacious with comfortable beds and abundant kitchenware - there was nothing extra we needed. The appliances are high-end, and the house is very clean. We really enjoyed the front porch swing. Suzi's communication is great, and she is very hospitable. I highly recommend this property for short or long stays.

Inviting & relaxing, makes you want to stay longer

Very inviting, able to relax and just enjoy our stay. We came into town for church & to visit family. Perfect place away from the busy city but close to everything. Hidden gem I’d say. Had everything you would need for a short or long stay. Kids enjoyed the games & mermaid room. Beds were comfy and house was cold just right for Tx temps. Outside had nice areas to relax and just enjoy the wooded view.

Wonderful place

We can’t wait to come back! Suzi has curated such a wonderful space. We had such a great time celebrating my best friend’s 40th! The Christmas decor was so cute and the entire house was just so warm and inviting! It didn’t feel like a stale and cold vacation spot. It felt like we were staying at a friend’s lake house! We recently had the pleasure of staying at this cutest house ever. From the moment we arrived we were charmed by the cozy atmosphere. We stayed for a little over a month and wanted to extend but Suzi was booked so we booked another place for another month close by. The 2 hosts are night and day! Suzi is one of a kind!!! I feel like she is a friend now! Very communicative and accommodating. The house is unique and charming and close to the lake and walking paths which my husband and I love!! If you like trails, there are more trails across the main street behind Towers Tap House. She has laminated cards so you will know where everything "lives" which is very helpful. Home decor is great, which you wouldn't think is a big deal, but coming to a home without those special touches makes it feel a little less like home. AND Suzi had a Christmas tree put up since we were there over Christmas!!! I can't say enough about how great our stay was! Just book it, you wont be dissapointed.
