The house was spacious and everyone was able to enjoy space as groups and alone. Our 5 yesr old had room to play safely and she says the house was cool. The kitchen is magnificent and the dining room was beautiful & huge. The place was in decent repair. There were a few concerns around the effectiveness of the cleaning crew or last renter that I passed on to the owner. Nothing we couldn't work with. It housed our 14 people for a wedding and we used the dining room to build bouquets and made many great memories. The house rules and guidelines were very clear and made it easy to get everyone to do their part. The host made the process simple and effortless, from check in to check out. Hopefully the missing hand towels and silverware will be replaced before the next guests come so they won't be surprised like we were! I would not hesitate to rent this place again if I needed that much space in Atlanta area.

This home is amazing! A wonderful royal estate. We had our wedding here. The host allowed us to tour ahead of time and answered all questions in a timely manner. The pictures don’t give the home any justice. It’s amazing.

Holiday family gathering

The property was perfect for our Christmas holiday family gathering. It was clean, and the linen on the beds was high quality. The kitchen was well equipped to prepare a holiday feast. The only negative was not having bath mats to exit the tubs and showers. The host was professional and responsive to our needs. It is a great property, and we highly recommend it.

Property wasn't so bad but the floors could've been swept better, we couldn't walk on our socks without getting dirty and dead bugs everywhere.What was worst was the phone call from owner after check out accusing us of smoking inside the house which was a lie! I've rented hundreds of houses and never had to deal with such unpleasant call before! I treat your house like it was mine don't appreciate getting falsely accused

Definitely some issues

Communication with the host and property manager is very difficult, and check-in was a debacle. We never received written instructions despite repeated requests and literally stood outside the door waiting for an entry code. The security system malfunctioned and alarms went off repeatedly until someone came to disconnect the system. There was a drapery rod hanging off the wall, an exterior door that did not lock, and a heavy glass shower door that pulled out of the wall. Suggest you inquire about repairs before renting.

Comfortable Modern Home for Large Groups

The good: the home is as advertised with plenty of parking and large indoor/outdoor gathering space. The linens and bathrooms were very clean and the mattresses were comfortable. The kitchen is well-appointed with everything you need to cook, and the dining room is very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Concerns: I made this booking many months in advance, but just two days before the trip I was asked to provide a copy of my photo ID. If providing photo ID is a requirement, please mention it in the property description. Also, it would make me more comfortable if there was a privacy policy of deleting the photo ID after the stay to protect privacy. My other concern was the extra fee for the event I hosted had to be paid directly to the owner. I mentioned twice that I felt more comfortable paying through VRBO, but these concerns were ignored. Combined with the last-second photo ID request, this raised some flags. However, all turned out well and we had a wonderful time.

Home away from home

The house was elegant amazing! There were a few issues, which Garfield addressed immediately. Above all, my husband, sons, daughter in laws, and grandkids had the most magical Christmas even at Six Flags “Hoilday in the Park” and Stone Mountain! Thanks Garfield for being an awesome host!

2nd Time Around

This is my second time staying at this property and I absolutely love both time. The 1st was a family trip. This time was a birthday/business trip. My friends who came along with me enjoyed they stay as well. Trust as long as this property when we come to the area we will always stay here. The host (Mr. Garfield) is fantastic - extremely responsive, accommodating, organized, and detailed; truly the perfect host!

A Graduation Celebration to Remember

This venue made my daughters graduation celebration one that she will remember forever. She wanted an opportunity to share space with friends and also include our close family. We were all able to exist together without getting in each other‘s way in the home. Each group had privacy. The actual celebration of her graduation was phenomenal. Family, friends, neighbors and classmates were all in attendance. Still we were able to social distance and enjoy the entire space that the property had to offer oh. It was as comfortable as a celebration at home but with enough space to not be aggravated by all the various conversations and noises. We were able to eat, drink and be merry, literally!!! After all the partying, adjourn to the spacious bedrooms for relaxation and comfort of a 5 Star hotel. The owner was very accommodating and made sure all our needs were met. He had a very pleasant and jovial personality. It was a pleasure speaking with him and he quickly alleviated any stress that we might had had initially about invading someone’s space. I would definitely stay again.

Hello - I am a former military officer (Army) and spend most of my time working internationally. While I am away, I would love to open my home to you and your family. When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, indulging in great food and learning about other cultures. I like to entertain and spend time with family and friends, gardening, cooking and working out. My motto is pretty simple "Enjoy life; treat others with respect and dignity, laugh and love”.

Quiet, relaxed and easy like Sunday morning. You can start your day with a complimentary cup of coffee via the Keurig in the kitchen, or perhaps you prefer to take a quick drive to one of the nearby restaurants for a bite to eat. You can head out for a walk/run at Stone Mountain Park, get in a workout at one of the local gyms or just sit on the covered deck and enjoy the quiet scenery. Do not be alarmed if you see a deer grazing in the yard or a wild turkey with her little ones feeding in the grass. DeKalb Farmers Market sells foods from all around the world and was also voted one of the best wine vendors in Atlanta - a true one stop shop and only 15 minutes away! Walmart, Publix and Kroger grocery stores are also minutes away. Various shopping strips are nearby on Highway 78, as well as full banking centers and a six theater movie plaza.
