A delightfully welcome to Hayward, Wisconsin. House was warm, clean and very welcoming. Having available access to washer and dryer was wonderful. Jill was quick to respond to questions. It is a quant quiet location and the deer in the back area were fun to watch. Am so glad we found it. Delightful place to stay while visiting family. Thank you, Jill.

Really enjoyed our stay. House was lovely. Very comfortable, very clean, very organized. Wish we were able to stay for a longer time but only had 2 nights and had to get back to California. Will definitely book again when we can get back to visit our niece again.

Wonderful place to stay

The deer haven retreat is an amazing spot for a vacation. The cabin/house has everything you need. It is just far enough away from town to be quiet and close enough to not be inconvenient to run for anything you need. The wilderness park next door was great to watch the deer at different times of day! Definitely will stay again and do recommend for anyone looking for a great and affordable place to stay.

Memorial Stay!

What a fabulous weekend! The cabin was perfect for our party of four adults - lots of space for everyone with comfortable beds. Great location close to town. Everything we needed and immaculate! The highlight of our stay was definitely the backyard friends. Several does had fawns and we enjoyed watching them from the bench and table in the back yard. We will definitely be back!

Very cute place. We only slept overnight and left the next morning so we unfortunately didn't just hang out. It's a small and cozy place.

Good place to stay in Hayward

Property is a newly remodeled small home bordering a wilerness "zoo". The backyard gives you large access to the white tale deer which is very nice. Everything you would need is located in the home and outside for a fun trip. You are within walking distance to a bar and grill also. Located just outside the city of Hayward. The only things that we didn’t like: bathroom is very tiny and the tap water smells and tastes of what I assume is sulpher. Owner does leave an unopened gallon of bottled water in the fridge.

The cottage was excellent. It was cute, clean & comfortable. The only drawback was that it was close to a busy road. The noise from the traffic was not ideal.

this was a newly remodeled 2 bedroom house. All the appliances were new and included a washer and dryer. The location was good about 3 miles fhom Hayward, which has many restaurants and nice shopping. the house had everything you need. Highly recommend this property.

Fun Little Cottage with Unique Perks

We were the first to stay here (new VRBO listing) and we loved it! Jill is highly responsive to needs. She is an experienced traveler who knows what you need in a rental. She even left a gift basket and welcome note. The kitchen was very well stocked with cookware/bakeware, including some pieces you wouldn't expect to find in a rental (blender? Keurig?) Home has a full bath, HVAC system, TVs, and board games. Back yard has both a grill and a fire pit. It is large and shares its back fence with a deer park (part of a zoo). There is a bench with pillows set up near the fence so you can enjoy a private moment with deer while you read a book or relax. One thing to note: this home is on a rural highway, so there will be light traffic noise in the front (smaller) bedroom with the twin beds. I have a low tolerance for noise, but I slept in one of the twin beds and was fine with the windows closed. TLDR: Comfortable home, responsive owner, highly recommended.

The area is very quiet and the back yard is shared with the Wilderness Walk. There are deer and wildlife to enjoy all day long.
If you want a few drinks or an amazing meal there is a bar that is walkable from this home.
