You're gonna love this...in less than 15 min, you can WALK to Downtown, Madonna Inn, Meadow Park, Vulture Peak, High St Deli and SloDoCo Donuts. Comfort, style and function is the focus of our furnishings. Lots of comfy chairs and reclining couch. New, high quality beds will give you the best night sleep possible.

The entire property has three homes and one garage spanning between South St. and Branch St. Layzie Dayzie is the front house off of South St, which can be a busy street during peak traffic hours. Cozy Studio Vibes is a tiny home that sits at the end of the long driveway. Guests staying in the tiny home are advised to park on the street. (Parking is free) We live in the home off Branch St. which is 75 feet away from the Layzie Dayzie. The large yard between both properties is not available for use.

You will be able to access the South St home, driveway, and front yard. You may also cut through the yard towards Branch St to access some of our favorite places downtown, like BA Start, High St. Deli, or The Nautical Bean. Take the gravel path past our house on Branch St. Feel free to say hi, we love meeting our guests and are so happy for you to enjoy the beautiful downtown neighborhood.

We will be available as your on-site hosts living on the property in the Branch St. home.

The property is central to all of San Luis Obispo, making it a desirable and sought after location. The private front yard is a lovely hang out for a morning cup of coffee or to wind down in the evening. Additionally, there is a home located on the opposite end of the property off of Branch St. that is being renovated. Walking through the property towards Branch St. creates a beautiful short cut to downtown. (approx. 12min walk) You will enjoy comfort, peace and quiet here as the windows have been updated as well as the heating and cooling system.

Our home comes with optional set up design. Customize space with your choice of the following options:

Bedroom with 2 Twins or 1 King
(There are 2 bedrooms. 1 has a king bed and the other can be set up with 2 twins or 1 king)

For additional sleeping, there are two twin size air mattresses. The living room is spacious and can accommodate two twin air mattresses.

This property is exactly as advertised. It is a very cozy, comfortable house. It is clear the hosts have an understanding of the traveler's needs- the kitchen is well stocked, the beds are quite comfortable. I would certainly stay again and would highly recommend to fellow travelers.

We had a great stay at the Layzie Dayzie. The place was super clean and the kitchen was amazingly well stocked with well labeled cabinets so it was easy to find everything. They also had a variety of tea available and hot cocoa. Couldn't ask for a better location. Just over a 1 mile walk to downtown. Cant say enough about the hosts. They were very kind and responded to my questions right away. We definitely plan on coming back!

Great experience! The property is centrally located and really well equipped. The very thoughtful hosts left us wine, chips, salsa, ice and had labelled everything we'd need so it was very easy to find. We travel a lot--this was one of the best places we have every stayed. The place is absolutely adorable! The retro decor is so fun! The hosts know how to add touches that make your stay so comfortable. A lovely assortment of coffees and teas, all the kitchen essentials needed, and bathroom extras, like a magnifying mirror for makeup. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great place, pride of ownership,

Really enjoyed the house, many small details that made it clear that the ownership wants you to enjoy your stay. Quality furnishings and beds, linens, well stocked kitchen. Only concern was the fairly busy road that it’s on but barely noticed while inside the house. Recommend this place.

Very Clean - Great Location

Great 2 bedroom place within 10 minute walk to downtown. Very clean and very well labeled as to what everything is and where it is. Doug was very quick to respond to all of my questions. Very comfortable beds. Parking in the driveway. Firepit in the front.

A for effort but had an issue with street noise from South st. . Had to have windows open at night for air - noisy lots of traffic . For us older folks it was not walking distance to DT and we had to Uber’s everywhere. The king bed was very soft and hurt our backs. Great kitchen well equipped and good layout. WiFi kept coming and going. I have allergies and found the decoration artificial flowers and lots of fabrics made me sneeze. Cute idea but too much. But the people were very accommodating. And kind.

This house is great! I hope to come back to stay. It is pristine. So much attention to detail! It was cozy but with touches you can only find in a luxury hotel. The kitchen was fully stocked and every cabinet was labeled so it was super easy to find everything. A drawer filled with a variety of coffee, tea and condiments. Spa items in the bathroom - luxury towels. Truly a wonderful place to stay!

Comfortable Well Appointed SLO Cottage

This two bedroom home was thoughtfully appointed, flexible, and convenient. Owners were easy to contact, and even provided a nice guide to the neighhborhood. It was very clean as well. The bedrooms and closets were plenty large in the king configuration. Both rooms and closets are large and at the back of the house providing a buffer from busy South Street. There is only a single bathroom, but it works well. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and appliances (including a nurtibullet). Even the spices and teas had useful options. While there is no dishwasher, the drying rack worked fine for our needs which was breakfasts and occasional lunch. Comfortable couch, chairs, large TVs, and plenty of games. We were there on days that didn't really need to make use of the mini-split AC/heat in the living room, but it would likely work well with the tower fans provided in the bedrooms. Super convenient walks to downtown, good food options, and adjacent parks. Could even walk to Sprouts and Ralphs if needed. Overall, very nice stay and would do so again.

We live on the property and have two grown children who live out of the area. Doug is a pilot and Theresa is a performing artist and teacher. Our dog Rocky is our sweet little guy we love to play with and take for walks. We both love live music, playing vintage video games, and enjoying the outdoors.
