Winery Guest Cottage Ă  San Luis Obispo / Edna Valley Wine Country

Ce chalet d'hĂŽtes pittoresque et charmant occupe la moitiĂ© de la ferme d'origine sur la Claiborne & Churchill Winery et PropriĂ©tĂ© viticole. Il a Ă©tĂ© restaurĂ© en 2015, avec de nouveaux appareils, les planchers et les meubles. Chacune des deux chambres est Ă©quipĂ©e d'un lit queen-size, tables de chevet et lampes. Il est (gratuit) WiFi dans toute la maison. Le salon dispose d'une tĂ©lĂ©vision Ă  Ă©cran plat mural, fauteuils confortables et un grand canapĂ©. Dans la cuisine de la ferme il y a une table Ă  manger avec quatre chaises, un double Ă©vier, et un grand espace de rangement, ainsi que d'un (nouveau) cuisiniĂšre Ă©lectrique et four, micro-ondes, cafetiĂšre et grille-pain. La petite mais pleine salle de bain a une baignoire / douche, toilettes et lavabo. Il y a une petite buanderie avec une nouvelle rondelle et un nouveau sĂ©choir. Depuis le salon et vĂ©randa, il y a une vue panoramique sur vignes et terres agricoles, collines, et au loin les contreforts de la forĂȘt nationale de Los Padres.

Such a wonderful stay! From the very first point of contact to the check out process, the communication was phenomenal. Our hostess was kind, friendly and extremely hospitable. The farmhouse was also lovely and filled with all the amenities for our little family to have a comfortable, safe and enjoyable visit to SLO.

Our family of four stayed here and just loved it. The location is beautiful, the cottage is clean, quaint, and well-stocked. Being able to sneak next door for a wine-tasting while the kids relaxed in the cottage? Priceless. Elizabeth is lovely. We really enjoyed visiting with her and hearing the story of the winery. Can’t say enough about this little gem. The interior was adorable, warm, cozy and so clean. The beds were comfy and the kitchen well-appointed. While the inside was cute, the backyard is where you want to spend your time-it’s stunning. Great space to unwind. Elizabeth was an incredible host. She went out of her way to make us feel at home. She told me how to experience the area how I’d like to-in nature. Snacks were even left for us. Having the winery next door was a bonus. It’s so close.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time staying at this cottage. It’s conveniently located close to the wineries of the Edna Valley, with a very short drive to Pismo Beach or downtown SLO. Our hosts were very attentive and accessible, promptly tending to any needs.

Best VRBO Experience Ever!

This guest cottage was absolutely perfect for my son and me - just what we were looking for, and much more, on our weekend vacation. Awesome location, superb hospitality, fully stocked house that was also super clean and cozy. A very special place - definitely recommending it to family and friends!

Sweet cottage at the winery

We loved this little cottage. It was perfect for the three of us. We loved touring around San Louis Obispo and the surrounding beaches. Beautiful, serene garden and outdoor space with party lights, grill, and fire pit. Elizabeth the owner was welcoming, informative and so so helpful.

Loved our stay

This was the perfect place to stay for us. We loved having the outdoor spaces, and both the backyard and front yard were wonderful to hang out in and beautifully landscaped. The inside was so cute, and I told my husband multiple times how happy I was we had chosen this place to stay. The beds were so comfortable, and the kitchen was nicely stocked to cook in. I honestly wish we could have stayed longer, and would 100% stay here again if we are in the area.

The cottage is wonderful. Elisabeth is wonderful. Friday evening wine and music is wonderful. Beds are super comfy. Reverse sunset from the front porch (or the tasting yard) is gorgeous. Back yard is spectacular and peaceful. It's always a pleasure to stay here.

Very nice experience!Our Host Elizabeth was wonderful and shared many places to visit and recommend many excellent restaurants. We weren’t disappointed at all!Right next door is their winery and it’s centrally located to many desirable locations to visit such as SLO, Pismo Beach, Lake Lopez, Arroyo Grande, Montana De Oro State Park, & Morro bay.We recommend trying their Gewurztraminer and the Reisling with a cheese and meat plate.We’re looking forward to visiting again.

We are the Thompson family: Clay and Fredericka and (daughter) Elizabeth. We are the owners of Claiborne & Churchill Winery, founded in 1983 and located in the heart of the Edna Valley, just outside the charming town of San Luis Obispo, California. We have remodeled the original farmhouse on the property so that one-half is now a vacation rental.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We fell in love with this area and its wine culture while traveling up the California coast on a business trip, away from our hometown of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Not long after, we left our jobs in Michigan, moved to San Luis Obispo, and began working in the local wine industry, beginning our own small wine production in 1983. In 1990 we were able to purchase our present property, and in 1995 we built a small winery and tasting room using eco-friendly "straw-bale" construction methods.

Our guest cottage is an ideal place to relax, wind down, and "wine-down," as we say. It also makes a perfect base from which to explore this beautiful area. A dozen or more wine tasting rooms are within a fifteen minute drive, and the ocean is only five miles away, with sunning, surfing, and beach-combing opportunities. The charming towns of San Luis Obispo and Arroyo Grande are each within a ten-minute drive, each with its own shopping and cultural amenities. The local restaurant scene offers a variety of quality experiences, from casual to fine dining. Outdoor adventures such as biking the backroads or hiking the local trails are readily available.
