The location—close to many of Hocking Hills’ most popular trails and sights, but tucked away at the end of a densely wooded side road—is ideal. The 3-level layout permits some separation for large family groups. The problem we encountered with the air conditioning system was quickly and efficiently resolved by the very responsive manager and courteous maintenance crew.

Book this retreat, you won't regret it. The cabin was incredibly clean and the views are to die for. It was so cool being surrounded by earth and rock with a private waterfall. Having coffee in the hot tub first thing in the morning is a must.They also had great WiFi, DVDs on site (we brought a laptop to stream and it worked great) and have a super cute guest book. Don't forget to sign!Couple things to prepare for: the stairs are steep, it's just the nature of how the cabin was built and we adapted easily. Also, if you plan on having a bonfire at night, definitely bring a good flashlight to find your way back!We will definitely be back again!

Great communication and friendly people. The views were amazing and you felt secluded. Our favorite was the view of the waterfall out back. Sitting on the porch and watching it and listening to it.

Beautiful property! Well off the main road for great privacy. Boys had a blast climbing the grotto area while we watched from the screened in porch. Couldn’t get any tv channels, but lots of movie DVD’s for late night entertainment. Close to all the Hocking attractions and trails. Will definitely use this company again!

This house was great! It easily accommodated our group of 8 people. The scenery from the porch was incredible and we were very close to all the main attractions. The hosts were very responsive to any questions. The hikes at hocking hills were beautiful and close to the property. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home with a new grill outside to use. We would definitely stay here again. The hot tub was a great bonus! Sitting in a hot tub looking at a waterfall was fantastic!

I can't say enough about the location of this home - we truly felt we were in the middle of the forest, and the waterfall view was amazing. We really enjoyedThe steps were a bit scary. The treads were only 5-6" - while manageable going up, they were quite difficult to descend. I had to angle my feet outward to ensure I wouldn't slip, anyone with bad knees will find this uncomfortable at best. Our luggage remained on the ground floor, for this reason. Anyone with mobility issues should consider a different property.Otherwise, the property was lovely, and can easily accommodate a family. We had some television issues, but the team came out and fixed it soon after our request.

Mini Vacation

The property is beautiful! Close to Old Man Cave and Ash Cave. Very clean and well equipped for their guests. Our family had a wonderful time and are looking forward to another visit!

This was an amazing retreat. So clean, at the end of the road with an incredible back yard. Perfect for the adults to unwind. and such a natural playground for the 4 yr old and 9 yr old grandchildren. I will definately return next year.

Breathtaking

The view of the waterfall was breathtaking. Secluded and quiet. The cabin was large and roomy was very well stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again.

Everything was well, the house was clean, beddings, kitchen... All was good. They even gave each person 2 towels for the 2 days stay for showering which honestly is very thoughtful. The only small issue was the lack of basic stuff like salt, tea, sugar.... That were promised on the listing which served a bit of inconvenience but overall everything else is good. and the shower pressure is very low. But they had very good quality products which is again, very thoughtful.Would rent again.

The location was great and secluded. Host communicated low pressure in one of the bath rooms ahead of time, it was not much of a concern as we were just one family staying there. They were prompt in resolving the water pressure issue in kitchen.We lost power and water on one night for over 10 hours on a regular night. There was no bad stormy weather or wind. There was high-pitched whir sound of someone cutting down wood through the night in pitch dark with lights out and very patch network. It wasn't a great feeling. Will not be visiting this place again due to this bad experience

The property was rustic and beautiful! It was a short stay and rain we gave us a beautiful personal waterfall that looked and sounded amazing while we relaxed on the porch. The cabin was so cute and cozy. The only issue was no tv service and the couch was broke. But we really enjoyed the place. Thank you

Beautiful, natural and private property. Hosts communicated very well. The cabin has amazing outdoor decks (some screened in) where we ate every meal while looking at the private grotto with small waterfall. The private drive to the cabin is a gravel road in a bit of rough shape so take is slow. Stairs are necessary to reach the main floor and all stairs in the cabin are very narrow so while we did not have any issues with them, people who have mobility issues or balance issues might have trouble. Some of the outdoor space was mildly unkempt but not unexpected for a more remote cabin setting. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and will likely stay again as we visit this area often.

We had problems with the TV & Fireplace. The host was very quick in responding & resolving the issues. The cabin was very clean! We loved the beautiful wooded area around the cabin. Very private. Lots of stairs & the stairs were very narrow. This cabin might not be the right cabin for older adults.

Great long weekend.

This was a wonderfully restful place to use as a homebase for exploring Hocking Hills. The owner isn't joking when he says Google maps is wrong. It didn't even take us to the right street, but we were close by and able to figure it out based on the address. That would be our only complaint! Other than that it was beautiful. Enough sleeping space for our family of 5 and my parents to have beds and get good rest. We enjoyed the waterfall, hot tub and games! The kitchen was well stocked for the cooking we did.
