We only stayed one night and it was a perfect base for our visit to the volcano, about a 10 minute drive away. The home is clean, beds are comfortable, towels are nice and thick, and the TVs are a good size. Only minor complaints are that the kitchen and bathrooms could use an update and the curtains in the bedroom are not wide enough to block all of the morning sun. You need to climb stairs to enter and the owners live downstairs - not a problem for us, but good to know. Communication with the host and the check in process was excellent. I definitely recommend this home!
The host was very welcoming, and the location is quaint, quiet, and easy to find. The home was clean and well maintained. Itâs a convenient short drive from KÄ«lauea, which was perfect for us since we wanted to visit at night without having to make the long drive back to Kona late in the evening. While Iâm not sure what the temperatures are like year-round, guests should be aware that the home can get relatively cool at night. We stayed at the end of November. Space heaters are provided and work very well. We didnât use them because we enjoy cooler temperatures while sleeping, but theyâre a great option if you prefer more warmth.Overall, we really appreciated the quiet, clean environment, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our time in that part of the island.
Very laid back spot with a ton of space. Tremendous location near VNP. Got up early and went into the park to see the morning eruption on Kiluaea. Visited the steam vents and then went to breakfast at Volcano House. Came back to the house and checked out. If you are a city folk like us, just start the humidifier when you check in. It makes the house far more comfortable. Everything was as expected and pictures are accurate. I wish the access was through the front door and parking was in front of the house. It would make lugging luggage far easier, but Iâm young so not a huge deal. Thanks for letting us use your place!
Only stayed one night as we stayed on Oahu for most of our trip, but flew to the Big Island to visit Volcanoes National Park and Mauna Kea. House is very close to park and was described to listing, have no complaints.
Excellent location - it was so convenient staying close to Volcanoes National Park. The property itself was very clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms and kitchen were well stocked with anything we could need. We had a very tranquil and relaxing stay here.
This place is huge! There was plenty of room for us to spread out and not get in each other's way. The pantry was also well stocked with things you might have forgotten to bring, which was a plus. The area is in a quiet neighborhood except, of source, for the coqui frogs that plague Hawaii. Even those can be charming with the right mood. We enjoyed a really relaxing stay here and appreciated the convenience to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Sadly, our departure was on a day when the nearby Cafe Ono wasn't open, but there's always next year. I'd cheerfully come back here for another stay!
Easy contactless check in, easy directions/arrival details. Clean, lots of space and quiet neighborhood (except for those frogs at night!) but loves being in nature and close to Kilauea.
Unexpectedly wonderful. Book so we could be close to Volcano park and it was such a great size comfortable home. Per usual for vrbo the kitchen utensils were lacking, but not enough that it took away from our family time. Being only 8 minutes from the park we were able to watch the webcams and head to the park for a show. Blessed to see the volcano in action. Thank you!
Great location, nice massage chair. Some areas are dated and could use a refresh. Appears to be the second level of owners or another unit (with separate entrance). Wasn't a problem, just would have liked to know this beforehand.
Spacious house for group gathering in beautiful Hawaiian forest close to Volcano National Park. Views from house surrounds you with nature. House is well furnished and decorated with unique art.
