We really enjoyed staying here while moving our daughter into WCU. It’s close to campus which was really nice. The river was absolutely beautiful and we ended up opening a couple windows one day just to listen to it from in the house. Indoors was very clean and nice, but there were quite a few spiderwebs on the stairs and front door. Other than that, we really enjoyed staying here.

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. I’m sorry that the spider webs were bad. I have to stay on the cleaning folks when it comes to the steps … Between the heat and the fact that the spiders move fast, it tends to be an uphill battle. Thanks for your feedback. We’ll try to do better in that regard.

Beautiful setting; clean and safe spot

Owner was responsive to communication through the site. Rental had gorgeous view of lush mountains while situated next to the river. Our stay (3 friends) was comfortable in the apartment - whole place was clean; beds were comfortable; water pressure in the shower was good. It was a straightforward 5-minute drive to WCU.

Property was very clean and tidy with a well stocked kitchen. Communication was easy as was check-in and check-out procedures. It's worth noting that the unit is half of a duplex and we could hear the occupant in the adjoining unit walking around and talking. While this didn't necessarily bother us, if someone is looking for more privacy, they should be aware of it. The setting is nice and quiet on the river and convenient to WCU, Sylva, Dillsboro, etc. This was a good place to stay for a couple of days of fishing and exploring the area with some very good restaurants found in Sylva and Dillsboro. I would certainly rent it again without reservation for a return trip to the area.

Great little condo right on the Tuckaseegee river. We stayed for a week and wished it was longer. Easy access to the river which we loved. WCU is minutes away. Spent a good bit of time gazing out at the river from an awesome view. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had all the things needed to feel at home and make a good meal. Will definitely visit again. Top notch host, very friendly very easy to communicate with.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This 3 Acre property has been in my family for years and the building has housed everything from a fire station to a fraternity house. However, over time, the building had run down and the grounds had overgrown with kudzu and bamboo. My husband and I had long envisioned renovating the building and cleaning up the property, but the distance between our home and the property was a hindrance. When COVID hit, we found ourselves with time on our hands, so we started researching possibilities for the property. We completed the first phase of our project, in late 2023, when we opened a small boutique RV Park, consisting of 5 full hook-up RV sites, on one side of the property. Renovating the building, a process that took the better part of 2 years, proved a major undertaking. The saying that "Nothing worth having comes easy" couldn't be more true. However, we believe that the end result has been well worth the effort, and we trust that you will love our River Front Apartment as much as we do!!
