Happy Camper Cottage offers all of the comforts of home wrapped in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom cabin, surrounded by trees and in a peaceful quiet setting. This home offers that special cabin feel which is so inviting to this area. The private covered deck in the back is the perfect space for some much relaxation from a day of hiking, tubing, or sight-seeing. The master bedroom is on the main floor and has King size bed. There is a full bathroom on the main floor with a spacious tiled shower. The secondary bedroom is upstairs and has a King size bed. There is also a full bathroom upstairs. Also, there is a sleeper sofa. There are great restaurants within an eight-minute drive, but Happy Camper Cottage also provides you with a fully equipped kitchen if you choose to stay in and cook a full meal. The screened dining area on the deck is the perfect place for an outside meal. Fire up the propane grill and put your grilling skills to work! Picture yourself snuggling by the cozy wood fireplace while sipping hot chocolate and watching a movie on those cool mountain nights. We provide luxury towels and linens to let you know that we appreciate you and want you to feel special in every aspect of your visit to Happy Camper Cottage. The cabin is located in the Stonegate community with access to an 18-hole golf course, pool, gym, clubhouse and just a short drive to Gatlinburg, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Foothills Parkway, or the Cades Cove entrance to Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Drive a little further and you
will find Dollywood which is fun for adults and kids alike. There are swimming holes, hiking trails and biking trails for the experienced and not so experienced.

Weekend in the Smoky Mountains

My husband, myself, and our 1 year old daughter stayed here for a long weekend getaway. The cabin was exactly as described, very clean and comfortable! Communication was very clear, check in/out was easy, and we would definitely stay here again!

Family Vacation

We had a nice time at the cabin! Great location - away from the crazy of Pigeon Forge but close enough if you decide to go for a visit. We had fun tubing in the Little River and were able to enjoy the beautiful fireworks display put on by the city of Townsend. A perfect place to spend the week of the fourth!

Happy Camper - A Great Cabin

We were very pleased with Happy Camper cabin! It was accommodations were comfortable and clean. Accessibility was great without a steep driveway. Loved the porches and outside spaces with privacy. We definitely will come again and highly recommend Happy Camper!

Plenty of room for a family of 4

We really enjoyed our stay. It was so peaceful and quiet. Listing was very accurate. Easy check in. Easy to get to. P00l was nice, we went in the hot tub every night. The grill was nice. The beds was comfortable, great showers. Plenty of pots, pans, plates, glasses and silverware. Cabin was clean, we enjoyed the screened in back porch. We definitely will stsy again.

Happy Camper Cottage

The pros Cabin is well located, no rough terrain to get to it and level parking. Well equipped. Beautifully decorated. Very quiet. Not far from Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. Got to see a bear playing in a tree right behind cabin. Cons A.couple of the jets in hot tub didn't work and hot tub needs a privacy fence. Upstairs bed is a queen but it seems like 2 twins put together, which is fine except one seems a little higher than the other making a dip in the middle but still comfortable enough Overall perfect Cabin for a getaway

Last minute getaway

I believe the pictures don't do it justice! It is a very cute cabin. The layout is perfect for a family of 4. The decks had amazing views. The neighborhood is quiet and away from traffic. The home was clean, the kitchen is stocked with all of the necessities. Not one issue. We loved it!

Wonderful location, nice cabin, serious management issues

First, the upsides to this property- the cabin was a great size for our family, we loved the peaceful setting surrounded by trees, and we adored spending time on the screened-in porch off the back of the house. The cabin is near many activities in Townsend, and within a 15-30 minute drive to several great hikes, which was our activity of choice this trip. Unfortunately, the uncleanliness of the cabin upon arrival and the nearly complete lack of response from the management company for several serious issues with our stay overshadowed those features. Upon booking, I received what I now suspect was an automated message from the owner urging us to reach out with questions anytime, which I attempted 3 times before arrival. I got another message with supposed access information, with no actual information about access/check-in included. After trying for over a week to communicate via VRBO, I called the phone # on the listing (took 2 tries) and was told that no one at the management company has access to check the VRBO account. The woman I spoke with was very kind and gave me clear instructions on the check-in process for our arrival the following day. We arrived in the evening to find that the cabin did not appear to have been cleaned beyond a wipe-down of the kitchen and bathroom surfaces. Bathroom floors had hair on them, dead bugs and cobwebs around the baseboards and almost all of the windowsills cabin-wide, dust on most surfaces, and what appeared to be ground-in food or dirt on the couch cushions. Since our daughter is mobile and puts whatever she finds in her mouth, I spent a lot of time cleaning surfaces, vacuuming up dead bugs and trying to clean the couch. The next morning, we loaded & tried to run the dishwasher but it did not work. When I called to ask about the cleaning & dishwasher, I was told management was aware the dishwasher was not working before we arrived, and one was on order. Our Wifi went out for 1.5 days of our 4-night stay- I called and left a voicemail but was never contacted back (we did without). Washing all of the dishes by hand and extra cleaning took up most nap times and a good chunk of each evening, leaving little time to relax once our child was asleep. I booked a cabin with a dishwasher, and the lack of communication/offer to switch our cabin/offer of any solution was frustrating; I would not stay here again.

Great cabin

The cabin was great! The pictures represented the cabin perfectly. The location was easy to get to even though it was up the mountain. We loved the porches and grill. The washer and dryer made things really nice so I didnt have to pack as much. There were plenty of dishes and appliances. We locked ourselves out on a Sunday but they sent maintenance to help us, which was much appreciated. It was perfect for the four of us. All in all, we would definitely request this cabin again when we go to these mountains!!

Was changed out of our cabin without prior knowledge as our chosen cabin had a broken a/c. Would have liked to know before we arrived to get our keys. View was fantastic. Amenities were adequate. Lacks the little touches that other renters often include. Everything else was good. Expected value for the price.

Cute and cozy cabin but management could use improvement

The cabin is fantastic. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. It’s rustic decor is great! The hot tub looked to be new and everything was well maintained. Even though we loved the cabin there were a few problems. We were never given instructions on how to get into the cabin. We emailed the owner and never got a reply. Luckily we were able to get ahold of the management company on our way there and got instructions to get in. When we got there, we discovered there was no fitted sheet on one of the beds. We called the management company and they said they’d send someone right over. It took 2 hrs for them to get there. The ladies that finally came said it was because a regular king sheet doesn’t fit the bed. They ended up using twin sheets which was fine but strange that they hadn’t done that before we got there and had to call. Then on our second day there we started noticing a terrible sewer smell coming from the main floor bathroom. Again we contacted the management company and they said they’d have someone come by to check it out that day. No one ever showed up for the entire week we were there. We had to leave the bathroom door shut with the fan on to control the smell. Unfortunately no one wanted to use the bathroom because it smelled so bad and flushing the toilet seemed to make it worse. Also one night it rained and the wooden steps leading up to the porch were slippery and I ended up wiping out on them the next morning. Fortunately I wasn’t injured other than some bruises. My husband emailed the owner of the cabin (not the management company since they didn’t have a good track record at this point) to let him know so maybe he could put something on the steps so this didn’t happen to future guests. Never got a reply from him. Bottom line, even though we really loved the cabin itself, we were very unimpressed with the management company and the owner.

Townsend Getaway

Cabin was just as nice as the pictures on the VRBO website. Our stay was a getaway to the peaceful and quiet side of the mountain,and was that and more.

Great cabin - spacious and cozy

This cabin was a perfect fit for our family of four. Plenty of space and amenities. Clean, cozy, well decorated. We loved being able to build a fire and enjoyed the spacious bathrooms and bedrooms. The view was wonderful from the porches and balconies. We’d definitely stay again if we return. It was a great home base to explore the Smoky Mountains and not a bad drive to Gatlinburg. Townsend is a cute town and wonderful change of pace compared to busy/crowded Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

It's a good place to stay for a family vacation

we enjoyed staying at this place covered by long, beautiful trees. The only disadvantage of this house is that it recieves very little sunlight.
