This was an incredible stay for us. Rachel was amazing and answered any questions we had promptly. The views were incredible and swimming in the heated pool in October was such a pleasure. Thank you so much for an amazing experience!

Wonderful visit!

We spent a night here and had a great time. Easy communication with the owner and seamless check-in. The kids loved the air hockey and the other games. Hot tub and pool are great too. Waking up to an amazing view with coffee on the deck. So clean and comfortable! We will definitely be back.

So relaxing!!!

Island in the Sky is now one my all time favorite places to just unplug. It is absolutely beautiful both inside the house and outside in the surrounding areas. It was a great escape from the city. We relaxed in the hottub, cooked great food, and enjoyed the outside fire place. I can't wait to rebook in the summer and hit the pool. I would highly recommend it!

Amazing Getaway so close to the city!

My daughter and I had such a lovely impromptu getaway. The house is really thoughtfully designed, and we definitely appreciated the s'mores kit. We took full advantage of the hot tub and the view was breathtaking. When it got chilly it was really nice to have the gaming room, which boasts ping pong, fooz ball and air hockey, as well as video gaming at its finest. The host was lovely and very responsive. All around a really easy way to have a nice break from the hustle bustle.

G-8 Girls Trip Views & Vineyards

This past weekend, eight of my yoga/gym gal pals (affectionately known as the G-8) stayed at Island in the Sky. From the very start, we had an incredible experience with the host and owner, Rachel. Not only was she incredibly responsive, but she also provided top-notch customer service every step of the way.As we drove in for the first time, we were immediately struck by this little gem perched high in the sky. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and we couldn't wait to see more. Upon entering the space, we were in awe. It was beautifully designed, incredibly clean, and perfectly maintained.Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat to spend quality time with family or seeking an adventure exploring the Virginia mountainside and vineyards for your next girls' trip, this property is truly special. It’s the kind of place where unforgettable memories are made. I can’t wait to return when we’re back in Virginia. I highly recommend this property!#DreamHouse #GirlsTrip #VacationGoals :)

Island in the sky became our tranquil home away from home - in the sky! Everything was amazing - the views, the peace, the smores, the pool. We had the greatest time and everyone in my family said that this was a place they would come back to again. We were having such a great time that we extended our stay an extra day and were sad when we had to leave. The owner was quick to get back to us and help us extend for the extra time. The game room downstairs was super fun and really kept my teenagers entertained. All around, it was a great trip and one that will go down forever in our memories!
