Escape to the tranquility of 'Canoe River,' a charming home that invites your family and friends to enjoy the beauty of the Shenandoah River. Nestled on 9 acres, this retreat offers stunning views of the river, George Washington National Forest, and Massanutten Mountain.

Accommodations:
1st-floor primary suite with a king bed, toddler bed, and ample storage and private full bathroom.
2nd floor with 2 bedrooms featuring 4 full-sized beds and 1 twin bed, along with a full bath.
Cozy loft with children's toys and books.
Upper loft with 5 twin beds, TV with DVD, and PlayStation 3 – perfect for young guests.
High speed internet with 50 Mpbs via Starlink allows streaming and internet with 2 large screen televisions equipped with Direct TV.

Outdoor Activities:
Just 300 feet from the Shenandoah River, ideal for kayaking, tubing, and fishing. There are 4 kayaks and a canoe for guests to use. Do not worry about packing tubes and life vests, we have plenty.
Grill and relax under the stars, enjoying crisp air on the deck or by the fire pit.

Property was absolutely perfect! Our stay was more than we could have asked for. The house had everything one needed. Ten of us stayed for the weekend. The five grands LOVED the loft that allowed them all to hang together after a day in the river! Beautiful views of the river from decks. The fire pit at the river's edge was probably the hit of the weekend. Nothing like a bonfire and looking at the beautiful moon reflecting on the river. You won't regret staying here!!!

This wonderful house is a well stocked river lodge built for large families. It truly has everything you need in a vacation home. Multiple fridges, large kitchen and living area, lots of beds and baths. House is perfect for those who love the outdoors and the shenandoah river. River frontage is challenging to access the water, steep drop, but ramp access is very close.

Lovely Family Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Kayaking and tubing were the highlights! We also visited lake Arrowhead for kayaking fishing and beach time and Luray Caverns was wonderful! Jennifer was a great host!!

Great house by the river

Spacious house off the beaten pass. Great place to stay with a group. They had everything you possibly would need. Visited Luray caverns, skyline drive. Host was easy to reach and helpful.

Beautiful location. Very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Fun time on river but grey LL Bean kayak leaking. Was surprised there was only limited toilet paper. Wish we had known that ahead of time.

Great house on the river

This is a great place for a family getaway in the countryside. Would be perfect for a large group with lots of kids. Well stocked with everything you need. We loved it.

Everything was perfect! My only complaint is the kitchen was dirty and the dishwasher was full of water. Sticky counters and we kept the dishwasher closed. I'd still rate this home a 10 out of 10. Exceeded our expectations with location, amenities and space for multi generation families. space

Quiet and Peaceful place to relax

The location was perfect for our family getaway. The access to the lazy river was wonderful. The property had kayaks and tubes that made it very easy to lounge in the water. We loved the fire pit at night. We would definitely consider coming back again!

Canoe River is a family home. We grew up knowing, seeing, spending time with our extended family and we wanted to be sure that we offered the same experience for our children and grandchildren.
We love getting away to our private, peaceful home in such a pretty area of Virginia. Cousin time is the best time! Many fun memories have been made at Canoe River. Renting on VRBO allows us to ensure that we can keep this special place in the family.

We were very fortunate to find this unique property right in The Shenandoah River. This home had the room for multiple families to share time together comfortably and nothing beats the 'playground' right out the door. The home is close to the charming towns of Luray and Front Royal, Luray Caverns, hiking, wineries, Skyline Drive, State Parks....
