The Pass
The condo itself is very comfortable but it needs some attention. The checkin process is frustrating. You handle a lot online only to find out you have to go to the rental office to pick up keys. Oh and that office is 25 minutes out of the way in gulf shores. No Orange beach. With summer traffic that would be even worse. Also when we finaly got to the Pass the keys we picked up did not work. We calle the office several times before we actually got an answer and we were assured the keys did in fact work because the maids had inspected the condo that day and they reported everything was good. They sent maintenance out.. which took 45 minutes. He tried the keys and shocker they did not work. So he called the office. At that point the office lady drove out with another set of keys. Remember she is 25 minutes away. Its well over 90 minutes we have been standing outside when she arrives with yet another key that does not work. Finally the property manager from the pass condo complex shows up and informs us that two days ago they changed all the locks. Sooo how did the maids inspect it? Well they didn't. We know that because after we got in we found the water did not work. It was turned off. As was the water heater. The bathtub in the master also had obviously not been cleaned. All of this was very frustrating. Multiple times we wondered if we were going home and calling this vacation off. But after the rocky start things settled down and we had a good time.
