The house was perfect for our large family, with the whole top floor being open so that we could talk to each other no matter which section of the space we were in. 6 bedrooms were on the 2nd floor and each had a bathroom, super convenient. First floor would be perfect for younger kids.Just a well thought out house in general!

We had a wonderful time at Galaxsea for a weeks stay with 5 couples. There was more than enough room for everyone. The pool and the game room was extra fun when we came off the beach. Close proximity to the beach, which was an added bonus.The large dining table was perfect to accommodate all of us for our game nights and dinners. A couple of restaurants were right down the street, which was very helpful also.

Could use new toaster, one side didn't work. Non stick frying pans would be useful. Griddle to use for large groups. Other than that, beautiful house, well stocked with dishes. Pool was great, close to beach

Great stay!

This was a perfect place for me and my family. Plenty of space!! Each room had a bathroom and the game room was a hit!Needs some updates, but I would definitely stay here again!

Great from top to bottom. Well-supplied kitchen, plenty of seating on the top floor, plenty of adult-sized beds, and a great pool. The basement game room provided lots of evening entertainment.

Great Place

Recently stayed in the property for 4 days, and really enjoyed my stay. The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was huge, and the outdoor spaces were lovely. Overall the house was perfecty for our small group.

Great location, spacious and efficient

Just a short walk to the beach, community space on the upper and lower levels, bedrooms (mostly) on the middle of three stories. We had a group of 18 (five families) and the space worked really well.

Our Best Family Vacation

This house was fantastic for our family which included 9 adults and 10 children. The house was large and so comfortable. Everyone had a good sleeping space. The game room and the pool were a big hit with all the kids and they spent hours playing and having fun cousin time. The beach was easy to access and very uncrowded. We hope to return in the future for another great vacation.

Steve and Andrea's anniversary

The house was as nice as advertised. We celebrated our 50th anniversary here with all of our children and grandchildren. It was clean and neat upon our arrival. The beach is very close and beautiful. Unfortunately, I lost my wedding ring somewhere on our trip home. If anybody should find a ring here I would like to have it back.

Great selection!!

The teens were excited about the game room and the short walk to the beach. The outside activities were fun, as well. One suggestion for outdoors would be to have a putter rather than irons to use on the putting green. The upstairs provided plenty of room. The house was exactly as it was portrayed on line. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Booked this house for a family gathering for my daughters graduation from law school. A pool was in the discription of this property. Upon arriving the pool had no water. It was supposed to be ready by 5/1 & we check in 5/7. I contacted the management co. they said I'd get a 500 credit for the pool not being ready which helped a little bit.The next day we planned a cookout & when we pulled up there were workmen working on the pool. There was loud music,machinery going & taking up parking. Again I called the management co. because we couldn't use the backyard & it was loud for napping children. Not enough soaps for each bathroom and hand towel missing, we couldn't adjust the heat & the first night was cold. Lastly, I was continually getting e-mails about renting things for the house,such as a high chair, portacrib, toys, beach stuff etc. Other VRBO places I"ve stayed provided some of these basics. I can understand renting beach equip but really you can't provide a high chair! Awesome things about the house were-the beach walk, just a cut thru to the next block and boom, beach! Loved the kitchen seating and gathering place!, plenty of beds/baths,the pool table,air hockey, foosball were a hit! I'd probably do this place again even though there were issues.

We apologize again for the inconvenience of the pool not being ready on your arrival. We also apologize about getting e-mails about rental equipment. Those did not come from us. For future reference we do not have high chairs and other baby equipment due to the liability involved. Unfortunately, there have been too many incidents with owner providing this sort of thing and injuries taking place due to old or faulty items. Glad you will give us another chance so we can give you a 5-Star experience next time!

Comfort in the Cold

The coldest week in 30 plus years but home offered comfort and tons of space. Sunrise from deck was beautiful. Sunset from large windows in great room was spectacular. Cornhole, outside storage box treasures and golf clubs appreciated. Some competetive air hockey and foosball and billiards were fun. The three tables were great for meals, games and puzzles and work area. Kids called the second floor the "boarding house hall" but it offered plenty of private spaces for multiple families. We did get to beach when temps got above 40 and it was a pleasant short walk. We spent time in Virginia Beach and Norfolk and Sandbridge museums, shops, zoo, aquarium, restaurants , boardwalk lights, wine tastings, and beach explorations.

Nice Property But Substandard Customer Service After Check In

Upon checkin we found fly infestation on all 3 levels & outdoors, a leaking toilet, trash left in the bins against the house, pool unclean & no WiFi connection. I called in all issues & was promised maintenance would come out the next morning, which never happened except for pool man & exterminator that said he couldn’t do anything about the flies. We inspected thoroughly at checkout but now Sandbridge Blue is trying to pin the wet carpet & several other bogus things on us. FRUSTRATED

Hi Mary, we heard about the trash issue which we took care of immediately. None of the other issues we heard about until after checkout after we had reported damage in the property. We found stains that were left by your group on sheets, towels, the carpet, night stand, and a headboard that we think was a hair dye product. I'm sorry the request for getting these items right was frustrating. Please know that when someone stays with Sandbridge Blue we do our best to provide the very best experience for your stay. We're very sorry if we missed some items during our inspection. We would have loved the opportunity to have addressed them and make them right during your stay.

Our family plus a couple of friends spent a week at Galaxsea. Lovely home providing just about any type of amenity one could desire… from the awesome kitchen to the many en-suites, to the game room which was PERFECT for the grandpa, sons and grandsons (and one awesome pool-shootiin’ daughter)! The elevator was such a plus loading and unloading a week’s worth of groceries and personal items. The pool was amazing to come back to after hours at the beach. So easy to quickly get to the beach too!My interactions with Sandbridge Blue were not just good, but fun. Renee is my new best friend (smile, Renee). We had an issue with no hot water on arrival. It was after-hours and I had to leave a message thinking great, they’re gone for the weekend, now what are we gonna do with 14 people? In response to the message I left, I received a call back from Jim within 10 minutes and he immediately helped troubleshoot the problem and we fixed it in 10 minutes. If I had any recommendations, it would only be adding a couple of kitchen “gadgets” like a whisk, way more hot pads and a screen on the top deck so mornings could be more enjoyable without the sun blinding you. That’s it. Great trip only next time ima take a different family… one a bit less dysfunctional. Oh come on. That’s funny and don’t tell me you don’t have SOME dysfunction! Stay here and be especially nice to Renee and Jim

Pre-summer family vacation

We just wanted to get away and have some fun, walk the beach, go fishing and the location is great for all of that. The Galaxsea is a spacious, clean, well equipped house that answered all of our needs!! Stores/shops close by and easy to get to. Everyone I spoke with from beginning to end was more than helpful and accommodating! I will definitely vacation with Sandbridge again!

Sandbridge Reality's customer service was not up to par and not accommodating at all. It took a long time for them to respond to emails and wait time on the phone was very long!

Family

It was a excellent home ! We had 20 people , had all the room we needed .. very important with children and a large group . The only thing everyone send it needed HotTub , lol and it needed a ceiling fan over the outside Table . The Flies made it so we didn’t eat out side . Thank you it was awesome !!

Great time at this home

It was a really nice place for 12 of us to stay, we fit 6 cars in the driveway pretty easy. Black flies were an issue when around the grill. But other than that the place was great.
