Cottage de sur la rivière, une escapade tranquille du monde quotidien

Revivez les bons moments à De ce sur la rivière de Russie dans le coeur du pays du vin (voir la liste des caves à proximité ci-dessous). Cette belle cabine dort jusqu'à 8, tous les draps fournis.
Vous avez 3 terrasses pour profiter de l'ombre des arbres de la Redwood, la rivière russe ou vue sur les vignes. Ambiance rustique de la cabine est renforcée par des murs en pin noueux, qui montent jusqu'à 21 'dans la grande salle.
Vous pourrez profiter des jeux de société, un jeu de fléchettes et au badminton ou au volley-ball sur la plage.
Deux lits doubles, deux lits superposés et deux lit rabattable (peut accueillir jusqu'à 8)
Une cheminée chasse loin fraîcheur du matin en automne et d'hiver.
Vignobles locaux prestigieux comprennent: Hartford, Korbel, Arista, Merry Edwards, pour en nommer quelques-uns.
Pour les amateurs de musique, nous sommes un peu plus d'un mile de Guerneville qui accueille une annuel de jazz / Blues Festival tous Septembre. Vous voudrez peut-être à pagayer le canot jusqu'à la plage de Johnson et écouter de la musique. Venue de cette année comprend: George Benson, David Sanborn, Brian Culbertson, Tower of Power et plus encore! Si vous préférez une alternative moins fatigante, vous pouvez profiter de la musique à partir de plate-forme avant de la cabine.
Nous savons que nos clients, comme notre famille depuis plusieurs décennies, se trouve la cabine reposante et paisible, un refuge idyllique idéal pour les escapades de week-end ou des vacances plus longues - ou tout simplement, un refuge réparatrice du monde quotidien mouvementé.

It was the cutest little cabin. It rained but we were able to stay warm by the fire. The walk down to the river was pretty easy. Tons of stuff to do nearby. We had a great time! I hope to come back again sometime.

Fabulous cabin

Well appointed cabin in a great location! We stayed for a couple nights for a getaway with our 3 month old and had a lovely time amongst the redwoods.

Nice experience for the family

If you like the kind of VRBO stay that is like staying in a friend's house while they're gone, then you'll like this. Dee's cottage is comfy, well-supplied, and has backyard access to a semi-private beach in a lagoon-like space connected to the river. I also liked the well-stocked kitchen (I hate places where you have to buy or bring every little thing yourself) and the porch swing which is a great hangout spot for playing an instrument.There's also a tiny little island in the lagoon with a picnic table that you can get to from a path right next door.

We had a wonderful stay at De's Cottage! The cottage is warm, comfortable, and very family-friendly. It's a very short walk down to the river where my kiddo enjoyed fishing. The home is clearly loved and well-lived in, but very well maintained and comfortable. Good to know: there are steps up to the main floor (not a problem for us), but with the steps come some beautiful views. The cottage is a short drive Guerneville's "downtown" if you want to eat out and enjoy other activities. We highly recommend De's Cottage!

Great weekend getaway by the river

The hosts were very accommodating for us on a last minute booking and we had a lovely time in the cottage. Access to the river was a big plus. A lot of history and charm in this place, would definitely stay again.

De's cottage was the ideal spot for our escape from the fog and as a setting for a family birthday. Tucked away but close to so much. We really appreciated the semi-private cove.

Wonderful cottage on the Russian River

Wonderful rustic cottage with lots of space, beautiful woodwork inside, in a wonderful setting. Waking up to the sound of birds, then strolling down to the river on a tree covered path reinforces your feeling of well being. Kitchen well equipped. Good hot shower. One warning, there are lots of steps outside which were not a problem at all for me and I am over 70years old, but could be for someone else.

We had a restful and peaceful weekend at Dee’s Cottage. The cabin has everything you could need and is right on the river, which made my pup and I sooo happy. Wish I would have booked a longer stay!!

Our family is the third generation of the original owners, my grandparents Louis and Elizabeth DeGregorio. My grandfather was a carpenter and built the original cabin in 1932, the first home in the Drakes Estates neighborhood.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Years ago when a seven-mile stretch along the Russian River from Rio Nido to Monte Rio was known as 'the Irish Riviera,'my grandfather, an Italian carpenter from San Francisco, was the first to purchase a tract of river front just a mile or so from the resort town of Guerneville. That was back in 1932. Over the decades the cabin he built has undergone several dramatic changes. In the 1955 flood, the original 3-story cabin, with expansive decks & multiple guest rooms, disappeared in the torrential flood waters. We built another cabin in its place and anchored it around two towering redwood trees. Then, after the 1997 flood, we raised the cabin to preserve it from future floods and, in the process added a cathedral ceiling and two new decks.
Today, our cabin sits on a knoll above the river, just 1/2 mile downstream from Korbel Winery. Decks extend out the front and back of the second-story structure where the great room and 2-bedrooms and bathroom are located. The cabin's rustic ambiance is heightened by knotty pine walls which, in the great room, rise up 21 feet. In summer, the cabin is well-insulated to keep guests cool and in the fall and early spring a woodstove fireplace makes the cabin warm & cozy. From the back deck, one can sit in the shade beneath a canopy of bay tress and redwoods and look down upon our private beach. The front deck provides a view of the vineyards and the hills beyond that rise up on both sides of the river. Please come and enjoy De's Cottage a river cabin in the Heart of Wine Country.
