Welcome to Five Peaks Chalet! Enter your quiet and secluded Park County home away from home, where you are greeted by an open-concept Great Room with custom trim work, large picture windows and a large gas fireplace with stone hearth. Sink into the large leather couch and lounge chairs for a good read, enjoy a favorite movie with those you love on the Smart TV (mounted above the fireplace) or just relish in the elevated woodland vistas. Enjoy the classic mountain cabin decor with thoughtful, unique and personal touches throughout the house that will make you feel right at home. The dining area offers the options of a large dining table with seating for 6 or high top seating for 2 at the kitchen bar. The well appointed Kitchen offers ample counter space, modern appliances and numerous kitchen gadgets and accouterments, ensuring that you have everything you will need to whip up your favorite family meal.
Down the hallway, the Central Bathroom offers a vanity, standard toilet, a bathtub/shower combo where you can choose to start your day with a quick refreshing rinse, or sink in for a long soak after days filled with fun on the mountain. The laundry closet with a full size washer and dryer, means there's no need to waste precious vacation time making trips to the laundromat in town! Across the hallway, the Queen Bedroom has a cozy closet and a plush queen size bed, fitted with fresh and cozy cotton bed linens, ensuring that you wake well rested, refreshed and ready for days of adventure. The Queen bedroom at the end of the hallway offers a plush queen bed, a mounted smart tv, and a full size closet.
The Master Suite offers a King bed with a custom bed frame, fitted with our cozy cotton bed linens, a large dresser, mounted smart tv and a spacious walk-in closet. The en-suite bathroom offers a huge double vanity, standard toilet and a step-in shower.
With a large, elevated, wrap-around deck space, enjoy your morning brews and woodland views on one of the comfortable deck chairs, spend afternoons basking in the bright Colorado sunshine or evenings spent grilling on the propane BBQ grill! The home features a brand new hot tub and Valley of the Sun is home to a variety of wildlife and this spectacular location affords opportunities to observe elk, deer and foxes (just to name a few of the critters!) right on the property.
Park County is an activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, it's a great "base camp!" If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain climbing, snow-shoeing, horseback riding (winter too!), ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, mine exploration, canoeing, kayaking, and much much more. * Guests are required to have a four-wheel drive vehicle with adequate snow tires or chains during the winter months from November through May. The area is subject to frequent unpredictable and adverse weather conditions which can make travel difficult.
* This home is located in a rural high alpine mountain environment where wildlife, insects and rodents may be encountered. The home is also equipped with a well water system and may have variability in taste, smell or mineral content based on time of year and usage.
* Guests will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement after booking.
* Outdoor security camera(s) are in use at this property, and may be used to verify guest occupancy. Security camera(s) are solely for visual (no audio) monitoring outside the property and are not present inside the property.
