This place was so charming. The kitchen and bathroom was well stocked and we loved the little details of the older oven/stove and also the door bell!! We loved all the flowering trees and bushes outside. It was perfect for me and my mom. It was close to the “downtown” area and centrally located. Check in was great. We come to Newberg often and will return!!

Our cottage was perfect in every way! It was clean, cute, and a cool historic home. We didn’t cook, but the kitchen was well equipped and spacious. The backyard is lovely. I plan to come back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the peaceful outdoor seating area. The house is centrally located to many wineries, and the little town of Newberg is so cute. We walked every morning to a cute coffee shop one block away and loved an adorable gift shop on the corner. Funny, I said “cute” three times so far in this review. Oh, I also love the antique doorbell. So fun! I will definitely be back!

Excellent location

We were in town visiting George Fox University and this little place was the perfect location. Walking distance to everything, quaint and clean.

Upon arrival did not receive notification on check in process. Contacted owner and she said all the information was in confirmation email when reserving property. That was over 6 months ago and have rented several VRBO's who had better communication upon arrival. There was no information on how to access/use the TV. Once again contacted owner and she said you have to stream. Accustom to past owners having a binder with information on how to use things on the property, places to go, etc. There was nothing. The property could use some TLC on the outside. Broken gate by garden, complete large piece of fence down, which led to side street. Backyard was not inviting to spend time outside. Not even sure where the grill was. Coffee maker was not gourmet as indicated. Old coffee maker from the 90's. Larger coffee mugs would be much appreciated. Location was ideal for getting to several vineyards, shopping, restaurants, etc.

Stayed 3 days Newberg. Close to wineries we scheduled in the valley. House was as pictured and perfect for our trip with another couple. Walked to dinner every night. Few restaurants were open during our stay Mon-Wed. Went to Rosmarino Osteria was excellent, be sure to make a reservation! Also went to a scratch bakery and social goods for beer in town. Cute town a little quiet after Labor Day.

LOVE the cottage!

This place was perfect for our girls weekend in wine country. So cute, all the amenities we needed, perfect location. Tricky oven, but owner helped us out very quickly! Would DEFINITELY stay again.

Cozy cottage in a phenomenal location

We had a great stay! The guest house was very clean and had everything we needed. Location was perfect - we walked to the Coffee Cat each morning, and ate at Old Towne and Forage, both walkable. Check out couldnt have been easier. Definitely recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The host had great recommendations for places to eat, things to do and tasting rooms to visit. She was very responsive and accommodating. The place was clean and perfectly appointed. Check in and check out was hassle free. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Lovely Home Away From Home

Came up to Newberg to spend Thanksgiving with our George Fox student. Glad we came up a few days early so I could figure out the stove/oven (YouTube had great instructional videos). It was the perfect size for the three of us! Quiet neighborhood but parking was sometimes a challenge. There’s a public lot around the corner, though, but when you have a carload of groceries, the lot’s not the best option. My suggestion for future guests who stay in the Fall/Winter (who come from warmer climates than the Pacific NW) is to pack some throw blankets for when you’re watching tv on the couch. I would have loved a blanket. I like cooking on vacations so I found the kitchen utensils a bit lacking, but Fred Meyer is just up the street and they have everything. If you plan to cook, do yourself a favor and check out the pantry (under the microwave)—there’s some stuff that other renters have left, but it might not be what you need or it might be just what you need. But check expiration dates! The host supplies flour, sugar, brown sugar, coffee, espresso, teas and salt/pepper. I left a supply of ziplocs, cling wrap, foil, etc. for the next residents to find. Hope the next renters enjoyed the house as much as we did!

Adorable and charming

We rented the cottage while we were visiting the area for a friend’s wedding. The cottage is absolutely adorable and charming. Walking distance to food trucks, coffee shops, wine cellars. Beds were comfortable, kitchen fully stocked, the rental was cozy and clean. Enjoyed having my coffee in the backyard and early morning sun on the front steps. I wish there had been directions for the espresso maker. I love espresso but don’t know how to use one so never got the chance nor wanted to make the effort to figure out ( without directions) how to use the cute one they had there.
