Our stay was nice. The owner was very communicative with us and very accommodating. We loved the closeness to where we were visiting. Plus we got to see the Northern Lights as a plus, first time!
We had a great stay at this beautiful house! It was very homey and inviting and large enough for oyr family. We were there for a wedding and it was a relief to have such a nice place. Would definitely rebook.
Beautiful older home- super clean and a great space for us to relax about 15 mins from Hancock. Owners were quick to respond when we reached out. Would love to stay here again, perhaps w our pup next time! The only thing weâd change is having more pots/pans, though we didnât have much time for cooking.
Spacious and clean home that worked wonderful as our home base for exploring the Keweenaw peninsula. Minutes from good food, shopping and Lake Superior access.
We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for our family of five. Everything we needed. Very clean. Such nice soft towels. Convient to the Houghton area and to areas farther up the peninsula. Grocery shopping very close by. Thanks for the cookies! Would definitely stay here again if I'm the area.
Heather and Michael are awesome host, we were looking for a stay to extend our stay a few extra days and found this one in Laurium..Place is very clean and well stocked, while there we had some mechenical issues with our car and Heather went above and beyond to help me find a repair shop that got me right in..Great host
During our stay, the weather was hot and humid, and unfortunately, we faced several challenges with ventilation. The living room windows were either painted shut or not functioning properly, and the bathroom window screen had holes that allowed insects to enter. The only usable window was in the bedroom, which provided our sole source of relief. With limited airflow, indoor temperatures reached up to 78 degrees. While we were aware the home did not have air conditioning, we did not expect that opening windows would be an issue. These conditions made our stay quite uncomfortable.
Amazing communication, adorable house in a great location. Loved that house had a fenced in back yard. Beds were comfy and hot water plentiful! Thank you for your hospitality!
Home very clean and comfortable- great fenced in yard for dogs ( 6ft all around). Great to have a grill to cook dinner. Stayed to visit our kid at MTU- way drive to anywhere in Keweenaw Penisula. Quiet neighborhood- could walk to downtown Calumet if you wanted or to Miners Cafe for great breakfast! Hosts easy to contact.
if you need a place to stay and you have pets that come with you itâs a good place to stay! There is a fenced back yard (if there isnât too much snow) which was awesome! The owners are very responsive and helpful! Little touches like having leashes and dog toys is cool, along with a welcome basket with popcorn and fresh cinnamon rolls from a local bakery was also great! The only minor complaint I would have is the living room furniture and click clack couches are not very comfortable and the couches are really not comfortable to sleep on. It wouldnât deter me from renting the place again though, itâs still a great place!
Very roomy and comfortable! Thoughtful hosts left a treat for all members of our group! We would definitely recommend a stay here, and can't wait to come back!
