Nestled just two blocks from the lively downtown area, Slay the Bay is the perfect vacation rental for families and friends, accommodating up to six guests in comfort. This charming home features an inviting living room with a smart TV and high-speed internet, setting the stage for cozy gatherings after exciting adventures.

The heart of the home is a fully stocked kitchen with all major appliances, ideal for cooking together and enjoying meals indoors or on the lovely patio. Unwind in the serene master suite, complete with a king bed and attached bath featuring a walk-in shower. Two additional queen guest bedrooms include one with a trundle bed, and a shared bath with a shower/tub combo. For added flexibility, the living room features a sleeper sofa that comfortably sleeps two

Step into your private oasis with a fenced-in lawn, perfect for your furry friends to roam. Relax by your own sparkling private pool (heated) or enjoy a peaceful moment in the spacious backyard, which connects directly to the city’s walking trail that leads to playgrounds, greenspaces, fishing ponds, and frisbee golf.

Experience the charm of downtown Port St. Joe with its boutique shopping and family-owned restaurants. The shallow waters of St. Joseph Bay offer excellent opportunities for snorkeling, shelling, and surf fishing. Plus, the boat launch at Pate Pete Park is just four blocks away, and multiple beach access points, including Maddox Park, are less than a three-minute drive.

At Slay the Bay, every detail is designed for your comfort and enjoyment. Come indulge in the coastal lifestyle of Port St. Joe and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime!

Reservations include beach gear credit ($35 daily), personalized to fit your needs. Beach gear options include kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, corn hole, and much more. Applicable for stay durations between 3-21 nights.

• Primary renter must be at least 25 years old.
• Dog friendly property. Allow up to 4 dogs (60 lb maximum per dog). $125 nonrefundable pet fee. Cats and restricted dog breeds are not permitted.
• Signed rental agreement required prior to arrival.
• Credit card processing fees are nonrefundable. No exceptions.
• Guests may be charged for stained or damaged linens and towels.
• Pool heat is provided October through November and March through April.

This property was so new and clean. It was so close to all the local little shops and restaurants. Everything was as described. The fenced in yard was perfect for my dog to spend time by the pool with us. The pool was also a perfect addition to our trip. Everyone agreed we would definitely stay at this location again. There was not a lot of extra toilet paper or trash bags but it wasn’t much of an issue. We just went to the Family Dollar which is a short walk away for more! My only other critique would be for the host to add some sort of privacy curtain to the door. But again this wouldn’t be enough to deter me from staying here. We truly fell in love with this property!

My family and I really enjoyed this place for a quick visit to St. Joe. It's literally within walking distance to all of the shops, restaurants and bars. The kids really enjoyed the pool. Communication with the host wasgreat!

We loved our stay at this house. It was clean and roomy enough for our family. The neighborhood was close to everything that we needed. I would have given a perfect score if the backyard had lights. We like to sit outside during the evening, and although the pool would light up until 11pm, we couldn't see to walk. We would still stay here again. The pool was fantastic.

Place was super clean and plenty of room for our family. Had everything you would need for a great stay! I know you go to Florida for the ocean but sometimes you can’t get enough of the water so after a long day at the beach and after you go out and eat you might want to come back and just hang out in the pool. We will be back for sure! We found out about port st joe and the forgotten coast about 4-5 years ago and have been staying ever since.

The place was cute but not advertised well I’ve never stayed at a place that did not offer beach towels nor enough toilet paper or trash bags for the time you stay along with no spices house was nice and pool was good but was no where near a beach nor walking distance when you consider all the traffic not a lot to do. Port st Joe is up and coming but not a place I’d take kids back to. Poop was green when we got there had to wait till next day to even swim before pool guy came I don’t know if these are new people at renting places but not my cup of tea.

We will be providing pool towels for the 2026 season. Spices are not provided after COVID since used condiments cannot be sanitized. We do communicate that a starter supply of amenities are provided and depending on the length of stay, additional amenities may need to be purchased. We also send correspondence on what to bring, including beach towels. The downtown area is much more suited for teens and adults versus small kids. Our quiet rural community is very nature based with limited commercialization. We are happy to make recommendations such as visiting historic Apalachicola or neighboring St George island. PSJ has a family friendly turtle center and lighthouse to explore as well as pontoon excursions that are pet friendly. I hope we have a chance to sell you on the charm of town and provide 5 Star service. Thank you!

Let me start by saying the house is fine. It’s clean, well situated close to town. The kitchen is a little sparse but wasn’t a big deal as we are are out most evenings. My one star rating is for the property management group. We had several incidents occur including no internet, unexpected lawn and pool services. One of which walked into the backyard with no notice and scared me and my son. Then upon check out someone texted me a photo saying we damaged furniture and charged the card on file 250. Which we did not damage anything so I immediately called to discuss at which point I left a message. She texted me back why it was charged and told me to dispute my card if I had an issue. I texted back and left another voicemail asking her to call me as I wanted to get it resolved with them but no response phone or text. I will have to dispute the charge on file. But I hope the owner reads this and is able to choose a different company to work with as I won’t be back nor will I rent with anyone under that management company. If you’re willing to take the risk - go ahead. But don’t deal with new wave property management unless you want poor service during your stay and unapproved charges without notice.

Our records show that the property was inspected immediately prior to your arrival, and there was no pre-existing damage. Following your departure, a large 6-inch hole in the wall was found behind a displaced piece of artwork. Photos documenting this were sent to you before any charge was processed, in accordance with our standard procedure. Guest accountability for damages is a necessary part of protecting both homeowners and future guests. We understand how frustrating an unexpected charge can feel, which is why we advised utilizing the formal dispute process—this ensures an unbiased review of the evidence by both your card issuer and our payment processor. Regarding maintenance visits, all lawn and pool services are routine and scheduled for guest convenience and property upkeep. We’ll review communication timing to ensure even better notice in the future. We do appreciate your comments and will continue to refine our communication practices. Our goal is always to provide transparent, respectful service for all guests and owners.

We were within walking distance to town/the bay/marina, which was great! The house was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed having such a big fenced in yard for our pup as well.
