Island Beauty avec des vues spectaculaires

Perché sur une falaise surplombant la mer intérieure du lac Champlain, le chalet "Island View" est orienté vers l’est avec une vue à 180 degrés au nord du Canada et au sud des Montagnes Vertes. Des escaliers mènent à une plage de schiste avec un quai privé. Belle, l'eau claire pour la baignade, la pêche et la navigation de plaisance.
Vous allez adorer votre séjour dans notre chalet! Island View a une ouverture
 plan d'étage, 2 chambres avec une reine dans l'une et 2 lits jumeaux dans l'autre. Au total, le chalet peut accueillir quatre personnes confortablement. Chaque chambre a un ventilateur de plafond et des portes françaises qui s'ouvrent sur un porche avec moustiquaire faisant face au lac. Beaucoup de fenêtres pour les brises de lac, cuisine entièrement équipée, salle de bains avec douche carrelée, laveuse / sécheuse, eau municipale. Douche extérieure privée, wifi, Smart TV, barbecue et table de pique-nique donnant sur la grande pelouse, les jardins et l’aire de jeux pour enfants. Notre chalet dispose d'un appareil de chauffage Rinnai pour les nuits hors saison et fraîches.
Le chalet se trouve à trois kilomètres du centre de North Hero où vous trouverez deux excellents restaurants et l’étonnant magasin General Hero, les marchés fermiers locaux, des galeries et des boutiques d’artisanat. Ceci est l'endroit parfait pour faire du vélo, du kayak et juste avoir du recul. 40 minutes à Burlington et à 60 minutes à Montréal et Stowe.

Le porche était l'endroit idéal pour profiter du café du matin tout en regardant le lever du soleil. Le chalet possède tout le confort de la maison. La cuisine bien équipée nous a permis de cuisiner des repas merveilleux. Nous avons pris de longues promenades le long de la rive du lac Champlain et a eu le plaisir de voir un arc-en-plein. Merci de partager cet endroit idyllique avec nous. "

The perfect lake cottage

Lovely peaceful cottage on the Lake Champlain

Lake Champlain vacation

We were very impressed with everything about the cottage. It was extremely clean and well organized with everything we needed. The porches were fantastic for relaxing after dark without the bugs. The hosts were very accommodating and left many tips for things to do in the area. We had a great stay.

Absolutely fantastic location! And the cottage is squeaky clean!! Literally one of the cleanest I have ever been in! Perfect for a quick getaway either as a couple or the family. Fairly secluded and off the beaten path but certainly close enough to activities on the islands and a little longer down the road Burlington is within reach!

Beautiful and Peaceful Getaway

The perfect house for 2-4 people. Beautiful setting right on the lake. Enjoyed the screened in porch for enjoying the evenings and watching fireflies. The house has everything you need and is very clean and well maintained. Mary is a very good host and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be booking again next time we are out in Vermont!

Would definitely stay here again!

The pictures don't do it justice - this cottage sits on a beautiful property with great views of & great access to the lake! Perfect for a small family, as there is a large yard for the kids to play, including swings. You can easily set up beach chairs on the stone beach at the lake. Enjoyed using the homeowner's kayak & water trampoline! Would highly recommend staying at this property!

Lovely Second Stay

This was my second visit to Island View cottage. I first visited with a friend back in Sept 2018 and never forgot how wonderful the cottage, hosts and location were. When I was looking for a place to spend time with my mom and cousins I knew this was the perfect spot. We had a great time and everything was as great as I remembered. I look forward to returning sometime in the future.

Wonderful stay

We were extremely pleased with the cottage! It was exactly as pictured - even better. It was very clean and had all the amenities you could think of. We spent many hours sitting in the screened-in porch enjoying the wonderful view of both the beautiful yard and the lake. Lovely Lake Cottage

Simply put, Island View Cottage is just perfect! The views of Lake Champlain are wonderful, the location is quiet and peaceful, yet handy to the bike trail, the General Store and other necessities. The cottage itself is quite comfortable and well equipped. We loved sitting out on the screened porch to have our coffee or to read and relax most of all. Mary, the owner, was so very friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had. We highly recommend Island View Cottage!

Great vacation!

Everything was as listed. Mary and John were very helpful, pleasant, and responsive hosts. The cottage itself was very comfortable and well thought-out. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was great -- two very important things to me in a rental. There's a lot to do in the area. I would recommend this cottage to just about everyone, whether you're looking for a quiet week by the lake, sight-seeing, fishing, hiking, and/or biking. Enjoy!

Serenity, Solitude, Scenery!

Perfect getaway for us! We received a warm, friendly welcome from our hosts who were responsive and communicative as needed, and also thoughtfully respectful of our privacy. The charming cottage was clean and well set up, providing comfortable sleeping and relaxation as well as a terrific little kitchen in which to prepare all our meals. The setting was serene, provided nourishing solitude, and afforded unbeatable lakefront scenery. We entertained ourselves for a full week with activities only a few miles away: hiking trails on the islands; enjoying coffee several mornings and Island Ice Cream one evening on the dock across from Hero's Welcome; and availing ourselves of Harborside Harvest Market just up the street for midweek provisions. We had a grand time! Thank you, Mary and John, for your hospitality and all the behind-the-scenes work that made our week of no work the best!

Charming home on lake Champlain!

The house was perfect for a family of four. They utilized all space available. It worked out great for a family of 4. We loved the screened in porches and the well landscaped yard. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We loved the outdoor shower! Lake Champlain did not disappoint. We caught many different types of fish and enjoyed exploring the little islands. We also found at the gas station to the north makes homemade fudge! Thursdays is the best day to go. Overall I would recommend this cottage for anyone. Mary and John were great in helping with the litte things, and just sent the nicest messages or checked in to make sure we were good!

Amazing Girl's Weekend on Lake Champlain

This cottage was perfect for a a girls weekend away. Mary and John thought of everything when they built and decorated it. Our favorite part was relaxing on the large screen porch looking out at the lake. The weather was picture perfect and we were able to leave the french doors open all weekend to enjoy the fresh air and sounds of nature. North Hero is a quiet community so plan to come and relax and enjoy the scenery. Amazing sunrises over the lake if you're a morning person (I am). We enjoyed cocktails at the Pier Bar at North Hero House as well as a wine tasting and snacks at Snow Farm Vineyard. We ventured over to Plattsburgh, NY on the ferry for dinner one night which was a fun experience. And of course we were lucky enough to have great September weather to take a dip in the lake right at the cottage. Looking forward to a return trip!

This is one of the nicest properties we've ever visited! Not only are Mary and John lovely and kind hosts, they have created a beautiful space that is well thought-out, clean, and comfortable. The cabin is perfect for a small family. The grounds are so pretty with easy access to the lake/dock down sturdy stairs. We kayaked and swam and saw all kinds of wildlife. Don't hesitate - this IS the spot!

This is an immaculate cottage with plenty of room for 4 adults. Owners updates take full advantage of every inch of space (albeit lacking in any closet) ..extra special are the French doors in each of the 2 bedrooms with adjoining and private screened porch. Perfect location close to family staying at nearby inn. Generous host, great communication. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay :)

Beautiful, well appointed, cottage!

We absolutely loved our stay here at Island View cottage. The location was off the beaten path which we liked. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable. The property is well cared for and there are steps going down to the lake. Unfortunately, we weren't able to swim since it rained most of our stay---but this gives us an excuse to go back! Getting back to inside the cottage, we were very happy with the well appointed kitchen, the shower pressure was good and the bed was comfortable. The couch was comfortable too. Mary and John, the owners are the nicest people and are very knowledgeable about the area. They live on the premises and were quick to respond to any of our questions or needs. We definitely want to come back next year!
