Welcome to your perfect waterfront family getaway!

This charming older home offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with plenty of space for the whole family.

Enjoy stunning waterfront views of Acadia National park across Frenchman Bay. Experience the serene sunsets and wildlife from the spacious living areas, where large windows fill the home with natural light. This property boasts ample room outdoors as well for relaxing, grilling and watching the tide come in. The steps to the private beach allow you to seaglass hunt, wade in the water or rent a kayak locally for fun in the sun.

The Space:

First floor:

Spacious master with an office space and desk, and large ensuite bathroom. There is a fireplace for atmosphere only.

There is an additional half bathroom on this floor, and a living room, dining room and sunporch. The TV is a flat screen, with great wifi in the house.

The kitchen has a couple of cute sitting areas to keep an eye on the kids while preparing your delicious summer meals. There are tons of pots, pans, seasonings, dishes, etc for anything you may want to serve!

Outdoor space:

The deck off of the house has a gas grill with propane supplied, and several deck chairs and dining areas for those warm summer days. There is an additional deck over the waterfront, for relaxing and watching the lobster fishermen work. There is access to the beach from the stairway, and a small fenced in portion of the yard for your well behaved pup. (1 dog)

Second Floor:

Full bathroom with a tub/shower plus a half bath with a toilet and sink only.

Bedroom 2: Queen bed murphy bed, it is a full queen bed on a bed frame.

Bedroom 3: 2 Twin beds

Bedroom 4: Twin bed

Bedroom 5: Twin bed

Hancock Point has a fantastic restaurant, non-denominal church, a town library, tennis courts, Carters Beach and a town dock.

You are minutes away from additional restaurants, town stores with food and gas, and sightseeing.

Ellsworth is 5 miles away with Hannafords, Shaws, walmart, shopping and restaurants.

Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are 23 miles away

Schoodic point is 15 miles away

Winter Harbor has a ferry directly to Bar Harbor, 15 miles away

Quiet, beautiful setting! Very peaceful!

If you are looking for a place with the fanciest furnishings, and most up to date fixtures, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, inviting well lived and loved home, this is it. It has a great location, may be dated, but is completely functional. Only problem we had was starving the hot water system while taking showers and washing clothes. Other than that, it was awesome! The driveway will not fit many vehicles, we were on a 15 passenger van, and opted to back in every day so we didn’t have to back out. The beach is literally right there, and was so great hearing it at night. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again!

This property was very old and out dated. 1st off the listing said it had 5 bedrooms 4 bathrooms. Bedroom 1 shower,toiket & tubBedroom 2 toilet,shower only Bedroom 3 toilet, shower only Bedroom 4 toilet, shower only.In actuality Bedroom 1 was correctBedroom 2 -4 had no bathrooms in them on the 1 st floor it was a toilet and sink. On the 2nd floor was a full bath & a toiet and sink. My guest was expecting what i saw on VRBO. The bedroom with the queen bed was inside a closet it wlas a trundle bed which was not pulled down or made up. I called the property manager to find it and the sheets for the bed. She said they're in the drawer or closet. When i did find them i explained to her that they did not match it wasn't a complete set. It appears they had been there since the place was built. She was not a good property manager the best thing about this property was the view of Frenchman Bay. The property manager was so disrespectful and condescending she made excuses for everything i was tell her about property. She has no customer service or listening skills and her apologies were not sincere. I rent through VRBO alot and never have i ever showed up to a property and it didn't have exactly what was listed on thier description for the property. I rented 2 properties in Hancock at the same time the 2nd house was exactly as listed. I was very disappointed in this property and had to apologize to my guest because they were expecting their own bathrooms inside the rooms.

Yes, I agree. This is an outdated home, as listed it is a historic family home with current pictures of every room and a full description of bedrooms and bathrooms. A bedroom does not include the number of toilets or showers, it only has room for the size of the bed because it is a bedroom. This property is listed as a 5 bedroom, 2 half bath, 2 full bathroom property. I apologized over and over that you were unhappy with the property. I am sorry you did not accept my apologies. This family home is exactly as described. It is a historic family home, and has been well loved by many many guests, and of course the family.
