Easy living and dog friendly, this low-rise raised beach house offers single level living on second row. Basic but comfortable accommodation is provided on a split floor plan with two bedrooms and a full bath on each side of the central common areas. The front screened porch is the heart and hub of the home boasting rocking chairs and the sound of the surf.

BEACH / CREEK ACCESS: The beach is less than a two-minute walk with boardwalk access located right across the road. A small public boat launch is right around the corner on Sundial Drive, perfect for launching a Jon boat and kayaks to explore the beautiful tidal creek.

LENGTH OF STAY: Saturday to Saturday stays in summer. Partial-week stays may be considered for last-minute bookings. Monthly winter rental inquiries are welcome.

DOG FRIENDLY: This Dog Friendly home invites you to bring the whole family. Leashed dogs are allowed on the beach during daylight hours. Guests are responsible for all damage caused by their dog. Please see Pet Policy for more details. Guests bringing a dog must make it known at the time of booking and pay additional rent. Maximum 2 dogs.

LITCHFIELD BEACH: Walkable with a laidback vibe, this unique coastal community offers easy access to miles of pristine beach as well as to the tidal creek. A stroll-about will unfold scenic Lowcountry vistas, rekindle friendships from past stays, and provide access to a sample of local shops and restaurants. I appreciate that the property was managed by Litchfield Real Estate and not by a private owner. Staff was easily available if needed and responsive which has not always been the case in several of less than optimal vrbo rentals. The property is very close to beach access, located on a residential street.

The property was located near the beach as described, which was nice. Upon arrival, it was dirty inside, we found mold growing in the pots and pans. We notified management and they came right away to take them. We bleached and washed the rest of the kitchen items ourselves. The (6) of us spent the first hour or so cleaning the house, especially the kitchen. There were food crumbs everywhere, and the bathrooms were semi-clean. Kitchen items were either old, and some even broken. We had to go out and get cleaning supplies to clean the house. The outside shower, and hoses to rinse your feet off from the sand had holes in them spraying everywhere when we tried to use them. We found two of the beds had no fitted sheet, just the top sheet with a light comforter. We found the rest of the bed sheets and completed that as well. We expected to do our own preparations when we arrived, just not at that extreme.

When we picked up the pots, no other concerns were provided when asked. Grocery and beach stores, popular dining venues, and local eclectic shops are conveniently nearby. While primarily residential, Litchfield Inn is located on the north end of this beach where the public can enjoy oceanfront dining and a dunes-side bar within easy and safe walking distance.
