Fathers Day Weekend 2025

This home is immaculate. The views are breathtaking, the kitchen is amazing and fully stocked and the home was very clean. The garage is a great place to relax as it has dual sided doors that allow the coastal air to flow through. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars from us is due to the fact the 4th floor master bedroom (best views in the house!) did not have the AC working so the room became virtually unusable due to the heat. The property management company failed to notify of this until we were in route. While they did offer to reimburse me 150 a night for the use of that amazing room, given the cost per person of the house that felt inadequate. Also the gas grill outside wasn't usable so we had to buy a charcoal grill. Still a beautiful home and I highly recommend.

So Much Potential!

The house is beautiful! The location, amazing, BUT
The day before we arrived I happened to look at the listing to confirm trip details. It was then that I saw a new review that mentioned the master suite/upstairs bedroom’s AC was not working. I immediately reached out to inquire if it had been fixed and only then was told it was not. It would’ve been nice for this to be disclosed. Unfortunately, it was too late to make other arrangements for our family of 10. New Wave offered a 300 refund and a golf cart rental. Which we agreed to. We had to use shop fans to make it semi-bearable but the TX heat is brutal! The office staff was friendly but seemed to have their hands tied with what the owner was willing to do for compensation.As the house is closer to Mustang Island/Corpus it was quite an inconvenience to drive all the way into downtown Port Aransas in order to pick up (and return) the key. In 2025 it seems there could be a more efficient way to handle accessing the home.We must add that in spite of someone checking out the day we arrived, the house was immaculate, very clean and comfortable. So props to the cleaning crew!There were other things such as pieces of the stair flooring falling off several times, the BBQ pit being unusable and dirty, the firepit not lighting, etc. But also great things like the pool, well appointed kitchen, beautiful views, fun activities and games. Like I said, so much potential if given the time and attention to make it worth the cost.

First of all, the home is very nice, but it is listed as a 4 bedroom house. It is not. The fourth bedroom upstairs has no A/C. The owner of the house has not replaced the unit due to a disagreement with the contractor. I did contact New Waves a week before to check on the A/C upstairs because of previous reviews. I was told the unit was replaced.On the day of our arrival, I received a text from New Waves which said there was no A/C upstairs. It’s hard to believe that the new unit was not working. Plus, no one could come and look at it until the next week. So, my family of 6 looked at the bed situation and decided we could make it work. When we arrived, the main floor (3) was warm. We turned down the thermostat, brought down the fans from the 4th floor and hoped it would cool off. It did not. We decided to leave because I was told that no one could come to fix the unit upstairs, so obviously they could not fix this problem. When we arrived at the office, the lady out front indicated that we must be lying because on her computer screen said the third floor said 70 degrees. Sure, that’s what we set it at! Then she said someone would come out to verify our claim. They sent someone. He said it was not working. We left and he was out taking the unit apart. On Monday I called New Waves to tell them I wanted a nights refund. Again, arguing about we needed to let them try to fix it. And then blamed it on batteries in the thermostat.Do not rent this house!

Do NOT book this property. The worst part was the customer service that was recieved while dealing with the property issues. The entire 4th floor ( master suite and master bathroom) had no AC. I was told that the AC was broke, but would be fixed the day of arrival, at worst the next day. We asked to move the dates, that was not an option so we decided we could make it work for at most 1 night. The AC never got fixed. We had guest sleeping on couches for the entire trip. Multiple,multiple people having to share small bathrooms. The pool had the heater on in June so it was 97 when we arrived. The grill was so disgusting we didn't even use it. Like I said, that wasn't the worst part it was the customer service. They never updated us about the AC not getting fixed, I had to call them. They told me that I knew the conditions of the property and I chose to move forward. I never would have agreed to no AC for 5 days. The were not honest about the repair. When I mentioned how unhappy we were about the amount of money we spent and what we received, I was told that if I made a negative review they would cancel my account. Which we know is not true. There were so many levels of rudeness and disrespect that we recieved from the property management team. We understand things happen, but they did not handle this with any professionalism. I do not want any other families to have this experience. Don't use your hard earned money, or waste you vacation time and this property.
