We had a wonderful time at your Lakefront Lodge! There was something for everyone! Sunfish, kayaks, an awesome beach to lounge and pups to play. The Lodge was perfectly appointed and plenty of room to socialize and the views of Chalk Pond were gorgeous! We definitely want to return

We had an amazing time! Perfect location for a family vacation. Our adult kids had a blast with the kayaks and the newly upgraded beach. Brian was an amazing host! Never minded our questions and provide a great local guidebook. We would love to visit again.

Gorgeous getaway

This lovely home on the serene Chalk Pond was a great place to get away. The house is beautifully decorated, while still being practical. The fact that they allow dogs is a nice bonus. The house was clean, plenty of soft towels, and the beds were comfortable. The owner is very communicative and responsive to any issues. Highly recommend!

Peaceful retreat

We very much enjoyed our time at the Lady of the Lake. The house is spacious and very nicely renovated. The view is beautiful and the there are plenty of ways to enjoy the pond. It is very quiet and the house is well appointed. The kitchen had what we needed to cook, and there are plenty of dining options reasonably nearby. The area is very scenic and quaint. The beds were comfortable and the there were many nice touches, like having pump style shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers, and a couple of working record players with plenty of albums to choose from. We hope to come back in the fall when it’s sure to be even more scenic.

I can’t say enough good things about our recent stay at this lakefront lodge! From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by the peaceful beauty of nature and the welcoming atmosphere of this hidden gem.The house was spotless, cozy, and perfectly equipped for a relaxing getaway. Whether we were sipping coffee on the deck, kayaking on the calm, clear water, or enjoying a fire under the stars, every moment felt like something out of a dream.The pond itself is quiet, clean, and ideal for swimming, paddling, or simply floating and enjoying the serenity. We even caught a few fish, which made the experience even more special.What was really great was that we could bring our dogs. It felt like our own little retreat, away from the chaos of everyday life, but still close enough to local trails and charming towns if we wanted to explore.If you’re looking for a peaceful, rejuvenating stay in nature with all the comforts of home, this is the place. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our next visit.

Communication with the host was excellent — they were responsive both before and during our stay. The house was fairly well stocked and, if you are looking for a more remote feel, it was peaceful -- about a 10–15 minute drive to groceries and the nearest town center. It was also a beautiful drive (1 hour) to many nearby towns in Vermont and New Hampshire that we visited for hiking, fall leaves and apple picking. However, we were very disappointed by the cleanliness. This was unexpected based on prior reviews. There was a very strong dog odor throughout the home (aware it says "dog friendly" but it smelled like a stinky, wet dog mixed with a fake cinnamon smell that required us to open the windows and air out because it was so strong) and both dog and human hair were noticeable in multiple areas throughout the house, including on the dining table and in the bathrooms. We also discovered what appeared to be animal feces in most of the kitchen drawers - including where serving utensils ans cutlery were stored. Perhaps most upsetting -- during our stay, we saw several mice in the house in the kitchen and living areas.While the home has potential and the host was great to work with, it would greatly benefit from a deep cleaning and pest control before future guests. It was overall disappointing given prior positive reviews.
