The host company was wonderful—super attentive, responsive, and great at communicating. Honestly, our experience with the host was probably the best part of our stay. We had an issue with the internet being out, and they were very helpful and communicative while trying to get it resolved. That said, the house itself was older than we expected and felt a little tight for a group of 10. The upstairs bunk “room” is not really a separate bedroom—you actually have to walk through the bunk area to get to the bedroom behind it. The primary bedroom also does not have a door separating the bedroom from the bathroom, which may be important for some guests to know.We were also surprised by how few basic supplies were provided, especially at this price point. We ran out of toilet paper within the first half of our first day, and there were no extra rolls, paper towels, or trash bags. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and have never had so few basic household supplies provided. The listing mentioned a beach wagon and beach toys, but the wagon provided did not work well in the sand, and there were no beach toys there when we arrived. We ended up purchasing some ourselves and left them at the house for future guests.Overall, the host company was excellent and very responsive, but we felt the home itself and what was included could have been represented more clearly and stocked more appropriately, particularly for a property accommodating a larger group and at this price point.
