Beautiful and clean place to stay. Great location that is close to a Metro Park and Ride as well within walking distance to a great grocery store and fun restaurants. The kitchen was well equipped and very functional.

The space was very well done, convenient, clean, comfortable! Stephen was accommodating and helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again! We were at a show at Wolf Trap and it was super easy to get to from Stephen's place.

What a great place to stay for the 4 of us to explore DC for 2 days. Located close to the Metro so it’s easy to take the train into the city. Comfortable beds & fully equipped kitchen - couldn’t ask for more!

A great spot for a getaway!

My daughter, son-in-law, grandchild, and I stayed for five nights while we visited family and toured some DC sites. The cottage was cozy and we had a great time. The owner was very easy to get in touch with; the information provided was timely and accurate. I highly recommend this rental property!

Comfortable and Clean Cottage in a Great Neighborhood

We loved staying at this property! It is ideally located in a suburban neighborhood with shops and restaurants just a block away. The check-in process was easy, and the host was very responsive throughout our stay. The cottage was immaculate inside and had everything we needed, including a small kitchen and a nice large backyard. The bathroom was very nicely-appointed, and the downstairs bedroom and upstairs loft areas were quite comfortable. We even saw deer roaming the neighborhood in the morning! We highly recommend this place and plan to stay again soon!

The cottage is just as the listing states and the pictures posted. The area is a upscale and very nice. The house is on the corner on the backside of a large business lot. The location is very convenient to the bus stop. As soon as you walk through the driveway gate the cottage is in front of you. The cottage is clean and the kitchen is a nice size. The beds are very comfortable and the air conditioning made our stay comfortable. It was a very quiet as well. There was a heatwave during our stay. It was quite hot and humid. The refrigerator/freezer is elongated. There is no ice maker or ice trays. The only disappointment was the response from the owner when asked if he could provide some ice. The response is below. I was aware of the gas station but the ice would melt during the short walk without a cooler. "I’m sorry we can’t help on this one. It’s a short 5 minute walk to the Exxon on Board St that sells bags of ice. Hope you all are staying cool. So much cool stuff going on in DC but the heat and humidity is awful. Be safe but have an amazing time!" We ventured out in the local area as well as DC. Rarebird Coffee Roaster has great coffee and Bakeshop (coffee and desserts). Godfrey's was ok but we felt it was is overrated. There is a nice Farmer's market in town on Saturday morning. If you have time, visit the Emmaculate Conception Church in DC. It is beautiful, grand and worth the visit.Wolf Trapp is a great venue for a concert!

We loved our stay at Hillier Cottage. Perfect amount of space for our group of 3, comfortable beds, had everything we needed, and hosts were responsive and helpful. Neighborhood was great, lots of restaurants, coffee shops, etc nearby (and UberEats options). Easy access to highways to get to DC. Falls Church is a really nice area and we would definitely stay here again.
