Very peaceful and cozy cabin. Host communicated with us and answered all of our questions. There was a wonderful snack tray, waiting for us upon our arrival. Cabin is pet friendly and there was even a gate left in utility room that we put up on the back deck so they could stay out here with us. Cabin was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean and anything you could think of was provided. We would definitely recommend this location and host.
This is the best, nicest cabin we have stayed in!. Absolutely love how clean and well maintained it is, so well stocked with everything one might need. Definitely will stay again. Great location, quiet, peaceful surroundings. So much thought was put into making it a great stay for us.
The cabin was absolutely stunning. It was very clean and accommodating. The surrounding area was very quiet and relaxing. Melissa was very easy to communicate with. My husband and I hope to stay again.
This cabin is enchanted! Just perfect, and the setting is gorgeous. I expected Disney singing animals to come out of the woods - LOL. The cabin itself is wonderful. Super clean and welcoming. Great communication with Melissa. My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights, after attending a Clemson football game. A very scenic area. We enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Steak House Cafeteria in Walhalla. It was awesome. I highly recommend this property. We will be returning! Thanks Melissa for a memorable stay!
We have been to a lot of cabins. This was by far the nicest and best cabin we have ever stayed at. The host is top tier we were coming in late, she checked in on us and turned the porch lights on for us. The cabin was super clean very well stocked and beautifully decorated truly made you feel at home. Itâs very easy to find yet very private plenty of parking. Only draw back was having to leave. This will be our go to cabin from now on. The stump hole tail system is very close and a great hike, with awesome mountain biking too. You will not be disappointed here.
A lovely cabin and property with fantastic attention to detail and great communication by our host! Very comfortable bed and linens, exceptionally clean overall, and a snack platter waiting for us that was just right. We were chasing waterfalls for a story that will appear in South Carolina Living Magazine and within one weekend saw 15 good to spectacular ones not far from the cabin. Yellow Branch Falls may be my favorite, but Brasstown Falls is actually 4 falls in 1 with minimal hiking and should not be missed. There are 60 waterfalls listed for Oconee County in Thomas King's "Waterfall Hikes of Upstate South Carolina," now available in third edition from UGA Press. We used King's book as our primary guide along with the book that's available at the cabin. The website waterfallwalker.com covers the same information and has video & photos. We also enjoyed some good meals in Westminister and Walhalla and a fantastic pizza at Humble Pie down the road. We hope to return!
This is our second stay at Blue Laurel and we throughly enjoyed ourselves again. A beautiful cabin with attention to detail makes for a wonderful visit. Thank you Melissa all you do to make our stay special!
Such a wonderful cabin! So clean and the host made sure we had all we needed! Super convenient to area hiking trails and waterfalls! We will definitely stay here again!!
A beautiful cabin in the woods with a wonderful charcuterie bowl left in the refrigerator for us to enjoy, after a day of activities. The property was very well maintained with various outside activities.
Melissa is by far the best host I've come across on all Platforms! She is so helpful, friendly and available for any needs! The cabin was absolutely STUNNING, clean and beautiful- the perfect cabin for a stay in the mountain. Melissa left us snacks and made sure we knew where everything is and equipped for anything we wanted to do or make. I would rate 10 stars if i could! Thank you and I'll definitely be recommending this place to everyone
The house was so clean and the host was EXCELLENT!!! We have stayed at a lot of places and by far this was the nicest. The host knew it was our anniversary and went to great lengths to have special goodies and flowers for us to enjoy.
The cabin was amazing. The host Melissa was wonderful. A wonderful night away for my wife and I. Everything you could possibly need is in the cabin. The grounds are amazing, such a great place to stay. We will be back
Excellent location for the sites we wanted to visit. Very clean with everything you need to be comfortable or even cook a thanksgiving dinner! Loved it- will definitely stay here again when in the area.
Custom 2-story home built by the owners with much love. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We have always loved traveling and staying in different accommodations and so we built one of our own!
Mountain Rest is a quiet, secluded area of Oconee County, SC. It borders Georgia and North Carolina. Centrally located to many parks, rivers and trails make it a great getaway to just relax and enjoy the natural surroundings and wildlife. The cabin is far enough off the road to be quiet and secluded, but also close enough to catch a glimpse of a variety of group vehicle rides as it is located right off of Hwy 28, also known as the Moonshine Highway.
A quiet, semi secluded cabin. Great for a couples, girls get-away or working destination retreat. Located in the mountains but still close enough to visit many local towns to shop, eat, and explore.
