This house was the coziest stay and perfect location! We appreciated the large backyard for our kids to run and play in and the close proximity to shops and restaurants. We were there for bootcamp graduation and loved the easy access to MCRD and the airport. Overall, we’d definitely recommend this cute home and plan on staying again if ever in the area.

Great location

The location was the best part of this listing. The house was clean with plenty of parking. Short walk to many shops and restaurants. We would definitely book this listing again.

The Location in Old Town is what earns a 5 star rating.Close to everything!The single MiniSplit A/C unit was not sufficent for the entire home and no fans in the bathroom were not unusual for a home likley built 70 years ago.That being said the location made the trip awesome!

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this is the worst vacation rental experience I have ever had. It would be a 1 star review except that the location is convenient. We had two adults and two kids, which the host knew before we came. Even though the sofa folds into a bed, there was no extra bedding or blankets to make up the sofa. There were four towels and two washcloths in the entire house, with no extras for a multi-day stay, and one of the towels was yellowing and stained. The house was very cold (we are used to the cold—it was cold even for us) and the only heating unit was ineffective. The host mailed us one small space heater the next day after I inquired, but the bedrooms stayed cold. There was no hot water in the front shower despite letting it run for quite some time. The power went out in two of the rooms twice despite that we had only one appliance plugged in at a time. This also made us concerned to leave the house with the space heater left on so the heater’s use was limited. Additionally, we had to hunt around the outside of the house in the dark to find the circuit breaker because the host didn’t know where it was. There was an odd sour smell in one of the bedrooms to the point that my niece shared a bed with me instead of staying in that room. We tried to watch a movie and the sound on the tv was so bad, we could barely hear the dialog at times. I could say even more but the point is, I’m sorry to say I can’t recommend it.

We do want to clarify that during your stay, none of these concerns were raised to us at the time, aside from the request regarding heating. As soon as this was brought to our attention, we acted immediately and arranged for a space heater to be delivered the very next day to improve your comfort. As hosts, we are always responsive and committed to resolving any issues promptly when they are communicated during the stay. This allows us the opportunity to address concerns in real time and ensure a better experience for our guests. We also want to note that the home is regularly inspected and prepared prior to each check-in, including linens, utilities, and overall condition. Had the other concerns been brought to our attention, we would have taken immediate steps to resolve them as well. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to review our processes to improve future guest experiences. Thank you.
