Your cozy getaway awaits on Lake Hartwell at this amazing house. With 2 queen beds in 2 bedrooms and 2 & 1/2 bathrooms. This tranquil retreat offers a tremendous living room with 2 sofa beds with toppers for extra space. We supply linens; towels and sheets and washer and dryer for your convenience. The kitchen has pots and pans, dishes, a Keurig coffee maker and a regular coffee maker and a slow cooker. We have wine glasses and opener.
We have games for adults and children and lake towels for swimming. We have WI-FI and TV service. Enjoy the fire pit in the yard. Horse shoe games is out there also. The First Aid Kit is on open shelf near the kitchen.
Make your holiday one for the books with a stay at our place. We do ask you NOT TO SMOKE, Thank You. Check in is 4PM and check out is 12 noon. This gives housekeeping time to clean between renters. Your pets are welcome, we do ask you put pillow cases or towels on the beds and /or the furniture to keep hair off of them, Again, thank you. This place is AMAZING!! The Host is Wonderful and flexible!! All you have to do is grab your stuff and leave! My daughter and her friends absolutely LOVED the house, fire 🔥 pit, and the dock!! I will be staying at this home again!! AMAZING stay!!

Wonderful, peaceful and welcoming home. Reese Retreat is as soothing as a visit to grandma's. The lake is very relaxing and quiet. The road is a bit winding and long so you will want to hit the grocery store first. We had a very nice stay.

Like a weekend at grandma’s

This is a wonderful property on the shores of Lake Hartwell. Immediately upon walking in, the house was cozy, inviting, and felt like home. The decor and dishes all drip with charm. If you are looking for peaceful relaxation with a gracious host, this is the place.

The location is beautiful and the house is nice. It's unfortunate that it has not been cleaned well. There were dark hairs on the sheets of both beds, a lot of the windows were dirty with smudges/smears and there were multiple areas that need dusting and vacuuming. There are some safety hazards as well like loose bricks on the bottom of the steps. With a really good deep clean and regular maintenance this could easily be a five star stay. Overall we enjoyed our time at the lake but as a former cleaner myself I was very disappointed about that.

Please accept our apology for the condition of the house. Our cleaning lady told us she had cleaned the house before your arrival so we believed her. We are so sorry and have fired that lady! Since we live out of state, we rely on our service providers to do their job and to be honest. We were not aware of any loose bricks but have had our repair man take care of it. We arrived extremely late, no lights on outside or inside wasn’t even sure we arrived at the right home at first. If I didn’t have a flashlight with me we would’ve never been able to see anything. I messaged the host the day of for any check in information and her response was to review the prior chat history which included the front door code. In the pitch black I tried the door code that was given several times and it wouldn’t work and it is now after 3am and way too late to contact the host. I decided to just try a different code and thankfully that worked. Once inside we found that none of the beds were made and found the bedding in a laundry basket that was on the floor. Had to smell it just to make sure it was clean. All the traveling we do, we have never had to make the beds when arriving. The house was not cleaned properly. Dead bugs and dirt on counters, all ceiling fans covered in dust, debris on floor rugs, coffee maker still had a used pod in it and covered in crumbs. Pulled cushions for pull out beds and were covered in food crumbs and dirt. Brbq grill cover left there torn to pieces, several very soft spots on floor throughout the house and HVAC window units were not sealed and had gaps big enough for a bird or squirrel to get in not to mention all the bugs getting in. Walls had spills, dust and dirt and closets were a disaster. House is a safety hazard and needs lots of TLC. Showers and toilets were clean. Not recommended in it’s current state.

It's a cozy place and pet friendly. Has a beautiful view of the lake. The house could use a little TLC in the kitchen and a little better cleaning inside and out but we would definitely stay there again.
