Check-in is after 4 PM. Check-out is before 11 AM.

A rental agreement is required with ID verification within 48 hours of booking or before entry, whichever is first.

Pet Policy: Pets are strictly prohibited on this property. This includes all animals, except for legally defined service animals as permitted under applicable law. Emotional support animals (ESAs) and therapy animals are not considered service animals and are not permitted.



Any unauthorized animal brought onto the property will result in additional cleaning and/or damage fees and may result in immediate termination of the reservation without refund.

Inventory: We provide a "starter package" of inventory for our cabin: 3 rolls of T.P. and 1 full roll of paper towels.

You may notice harmless Asian beetles (look like lady bugs) at times, especially on windows. They’re not a sign of cleanliness, just a natural, seasonal nuisance that's hard to fully prevent.

We loved our stay! It was our first family trip since having our first baby. It was perfect for us. The outdoor areas at the property were so fun and relaxing (pond, hot tub, campfire, walking trail). The house was VERY clean. The host was very quick to respond and made check-in simple. We will be back!

Wonderful

Six adult family members ages 23 to 71 stayed at The Roundhouse for a beautiful weekend adventure. Everyone had a fabulous time!! The grounds and house were very well cared for and Allison, our hostess, checked on us throughout our stay. Spent most of our time enjoying the amenities on the property (beautiful views, pond, fire pit, hot tub) but also appreciated the close proximity to hiking options and local eateries. Go visit…you won’t be disappointed!

The Roundhouse was perfect! Our family really enjoyed spending time here and loved all the amenities with the hot tub, fishing pond, yard games, etc. We would definitely recommend staying here for anyone travelling to Southern Illinois.

Perfect Getaway

I spent 3 days here with my family (my husband, 5 y/o and twin 3 y/os). It was incredible. The property was well maintained and gorgeous. Beautiful views from the floor to ceiling windows. Plenty of fun was available just right outside your door with a trail through the tall grass, a pond, fire pit and outdoor games. On top of that it is conveniently located near Garden of the Gods and other parks. We cannot wait to go again!

The place was terrific. Be aware there is only one bathroom but it has a large shower and is very functional. The host was amazing and super accessible. My boys actually broke one of the knobs on the hot tub and she was very understanding. Would highly recommend this house. The pond and the outdoor area was great. They even cut a path on the hillside below the house that loops around down to the woods. The kids loved running around that loop. Great get away for families!

We absolutely loved this property! It’s so clean, has the most comfortable vibe and spaces, welcoming gestures and thoughtful touches everywhere! It truly feels like you have your own little private piece of the world except for an occasional car on the road in the distance. Sitting by the pond at dusk, soaking in the hot tub under the stars, and window upon window of morning sunshine flooding the house quickly made this one of the most recharging weekends away. The kitchen had everything we could have needed including all the coffee accessories, an air fryer, and beautiful/functional decor. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the working jukebox! The hosts are so kind and this home felt so peaceful which speaks volumes for them! We can’t wait to visit again in the cooler months when we can utilize the beautiful fireplace. Thanks again!

We stayed at the roundhouse for our 21st anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better spot.The location is absolutely perfect.Close enough to everything but still felt like a private escape. Great, unique house for a girls weekend! We had a blast hanging at the house and hiking nearby. We loved spending time in the hot tub and the walking path that the owners had created on property - probably close to a quarter mile long through the prairie lands! Great kitchen, too.

So much detail within the property from a stocked pond for fishing, a walking path while on the property still felt like an adventure in and of itself. The house was clean and the overall setting was peaceful. This was the perfect getaway for my husband and I.

Excellent stay. Very clean. Kitchen was well supplied, beds were comfortable, hot tub was great. Location is very private. Only downside was driving on the several miles of unpaved county roads to get there. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend!

We loved the property and its location. Beautiful home just north of the Iron Furnace. House has all the amenities you could need and the area was secluded and peaceful. We will be coming back for our next trip.

Quiet country stay

We so enjoyed the quiet and country atmosphere! We were very surprised at the extra effort this home has to make it comfortable for our stay. And everywhere we looked the home had lovely furnishings! With all the windows, we got to watch the birds! Also, don’t forget the neat hikes close by!

Warmly decorated unique home on a well-maintained large property. Lack of light pollution makes for an easy evening looking at stars from the hot tub or covered patio space. Owners checked in often, though we had no issues. Would gladly recommend.
