Beautiful, cozy, well-appointed cabin in an amazing woodland setting. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while enjoying the fall colors and natural beauty of the area. All of the amenities of comfortable living in a true log home. Highly recommended!

This was our third time staying at this cabin. As always, it was a lovely time. This time was just my husband and I. We enjoyed some fishing, hot tub time, walks around the property, and fires at night. We will be planning a family Christmas trip back for next year!

Beautiful view and very peaceful. Plenty of space indoors and out if you have yard games. We enjoyed the hot tub and having s'mores around the fire. The home was lovely and comfortable. Loads of activities close by for family fun. We are so grateful for being able to stay in this beautiful home!!

The cabin is very secluded! The road to get there is dangerous unpaved and narrow. We had to swerve onto the side of the road because we encountered a couple local teenagers in cars and atv's, doing well over 50mph so stay alert! The beds and rooms were clean and comfortable. The cookware was very worn all the nonstick was chipped and showing metal and should be replaced, only 1 small 8" sauce pan and 1 8"stainless stock pot is all we felt comfortable using because of the poor condition . Check-in was 4 PM. We arrived early 3:30p.m and the owner was still getting the inside ready. We had to wait, outside with her jumping and bitting dog.. after a 5hr drive. If you rent it plan accordingly and dont arrive 30min early

We absolutely loved our stay here. First, I would like to imitate that the host was incredibly friendly and communicative. The cabin was cozy and immediately upon pulling up the driveway, the feelings of privacy, peace, and comfort came in. We loved the aesthetic of the cabin. The beds are comfortable. There were plenty of towels available. The cabin remained warm even while it was 11 outside. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. The hot tub was incredibly cozy, but only about 3/4 full in volume so we couldn’t quite get cozy and submerge fully to avoid the cold winds. The grill worked great. The campfire outside is cozy and quaint. Overall we loved the stay here and I’d recommend it for a getaway with your partner or some friends!Some things of note- I would still give this property five stars, but, I think it’s important to at least know these things before you book:Cookware - I would bring your own cookware if you are planning on prepping your own meals. There were an array of pots and pans, but many were scratched up, Teflon. One thing we really needed constantly was a large bowl for making batter for waffles, popcorn, etc. I would just bring your own knives and kitchenware. They had plenty of cutlery.Bring your own body wash, shampoo, conditioner, the host does not have any. Cleaning supplies - the host does not leave many cleaning supplies, I would recommend bringing your own for the dishwasher and wiping the countertops. Still, an amazing stay!

Beautiful wooden cabin inside and out. While situated on a hill, the setting provides excellent privacy as there no visible neighbors. The hot tub was wonderful after a day of hiking. Highly recommend if you are looking for a stay near the Shawnee National Forest.
