Welcome to The Pacific Coast Hideaway!

This quiet property features a main house and casita on 2 acres of property within minutes of Mendocino Village. When you book with us, you get both houses entirely to yourself. Both houses have been decorated in a California Casual style, that we feel helps you decompress. The property is bordered by a meadow on one side and a Redwood grove that backs up to a creek on the other.

The main house has 2 bedrooms with premium Brentwood Home mattresses, extra pillows and blankets, and 400 thread count sateen weave, 100% cotton sheets. The primary bedroom has a king-sized bed, while the second bedroom has a queen-sized bed. There’s an en-suite bathroom in the primary bedroom with a deep soaking tub and shower. Our hall bathroom has a walk-in shower, as well as a washer and dryer for your use.

We’re proud of our fully equipped kitchen which includes spices, oils, sweeteners and condiments for your use, and the dining table seats 6 comfortably. We provide Starbucks coffee and assorted teas, as well as 3 ways to make your coffee: Drip coffee machine, pour-over, and French press. The dishwasher makes clean up easy, and the electric range has an Air-Fryer mode.

The living area has a 50-inch Smart TV with a sound bar, an electric fireplace and plenty of comfy seating. There is a desk in case you need to get some work done, lots of popular games, blocks, children’s books and coloring books and crayons. Our bookshelf is always stocked with lots of used books for you to borrow. “Take a book, leave a book,” we like to say.

The main house has a deck with a 6-seat outdoor dining table, a gas grill, 4 Adirondack chairs with a gas fire pit, an outdoor sofa and pergola.

The smaller house (we call the casita) features one large room with a luxury Brentwood Home queen-sized mattress, and the same 400 thread count 100% cotton sheets as the main house. There’s a living area with a Smart TV, plenty of comfy seating and a kitchenette that accommodates small-scale cooking. The casita has a dining table for 2, mini-fridge and a microwave. There is a full bathroom with a walk-in shower off of the main room. We have found that the casita is a great option for grandparents, couples or teens to have their own space and privacy.

On the casita's covered deck, we have a 6-person hot tub that is always heated and treated in-between each guest stay, as well as an outdoor sofa and gas fire table.

The main house and casita are about 25 feet apart, and we have a well lit pathway between the houses, for your convenience.

We offer many family-friendly items for your comfort, such as a high chair, Pack-N-Play, a baby gate, games, books, coloring books, and Corn Hole and sand toys. We provide beach towels and 6 beach chairs in carry bags, as well.

Our property offers parking for 3-4 vehicles, and a Level 2 EV charger with Tesla and J1772 plugs. There are Smart TV's in each bedroom, the casita and in the main living room, plus high speed Wi-Fi in both houses. Sign in to your streaming services to enjoy your favorite movies and shows.

We are a 6-minute drive to the village of Mendocino, 1 minute from Van Damme State Park and beach, 20 minutes to Fort Bragg and 3 minutes from the Little River Airport.
