à propos de cet hébergement
The Mod Pod~2 bd/2.5 bth/dog/games/steps to beach
Tucked between the whispering pines of Lieutenant Island, this effortlessly cool one-dog-friendly cottage is a retro-chic hideaway with a personality all its own. Itâs where barefoot beach days meet vintage vinyl nights, where mid-century style mingles with salty breezes, and where a cat-eye sunglasses bar sets the tone for a stay thatâs equal parts playful and serene. This one-of-a-kind cozy escape is designed for those who crave both adventure and nostalgia.
We respect the autonomy of our guests but are available by text, email, phone, carrier pigeon, smoke signal, yodeling, or Facetime
We love our neighbors! The neighborhood is quiet, picturesque, peaceful, and surrounded by water and nature, perfect for beach walks, kayaking, and hiking. There are many vacation rentals on the island and everyone is warm and friendly!
The door access information is sent upon booking confirmation in the digital house manual
Tucked among the windswept pines and golden marsh grasses of Lieutenant Island, this one-of-a-kind mid-century modern cottage becomes something truly special in fall. The air carries the scent of salt and pine, the tides whisper through the reeds, and the sunsets burn deeper against the quiet horizon. Here, retro design and timeless coastal charm blend into the perfect off-season escape.
Inside, the cottage glows with autumn lightâwarm woods, clean lines, and vintage details that tell stories of another era. Spin a record from the curated vinyl collection, sip cider in your cat-eye shades, and let the easy rhythm of island life take over. The cozy living space invites lazy mornings and late-night board games, while the two bedroomsâone queen, one full with bunksâoffer soft landings after long beach walks. The detached game room, accessed by ladder or outside entrance, keeps the fun going with foosball, darts, and streaming TV.
Outdoors, life slows to a whisper. The screened-in porch is perfect for coffee and conversation as leaves drift past. The wraparound deck calls for sweater weather dinners cooked on the grill. Two kayaks wait at the ready for a calm paddle through mirrored waters, where herons and egrets glide through amber light. And yesâyour dog is welcome to come chase the tide with you.
Come for the nostalgia, stay for the peace. This mid-century gem on Lieutenant Island is fall at its finestâquiet, colorful, and completely Cape Cod.

For Airbnb: A quick note on who you are paying for what, because lately everyone asks some version of who am I paying for what and to who. We set two things. One. The nightly rate for the home itself which we keep as fair as possible for this area. Two. The cleaning fee matches what our professional cleaning company charges to clean and reset a home this size. Those are the only amounts we control. Airbnb collects its own platform service fee for using the Airbnb site and support. Airbnb may include that platform fee in the total price you see here instead of showing it as a separate line which can make it look like it is part of what we charge. It is not. That amount goes to Airbnb. You will also see taxes as a separate line. Those taxes are required by state and local rules for this area. We do not set the tax rates, and we do not keep those funds. Airbnb calls this âfee transparencyâ.
Communication with guests is important to us. Please be sure you have app notifications turned on for your phone as this will be our means of communicating with you before, during, and after your stay. Our digital guidebooks contain directions, instructions, and access information. It is your responsibility to review this information prior to arrival.
Tides are the rise and fall of ocean water levels that happen every day. Theyâre caused by the gravitational pull of the moon and the sun on Earthâs oceans. The moonâs pull is stronger because itâs closer, and it causes water to bulge out on the side of Earth facing the moon and also on the opposite side.
As Earth rotates, different areas move into these bulges, which is why we get two high tides and two low tides each day. Itâs like the ocean is following the moonâs lead in a giant, watery dance.
Please check a tide chart for Wellfleet Harbor (in your guidebook) so that you can plan accordingly.
