4 families Bethany Beach

Overall, it was a great stay for my family and the 3 other families we vacationed with (8 adults and 9 kids). The house is plenty big and the pool is amazing. Its location is in a nice quiet neighborhood and a 5 minute drive to the public beach. The house could have been a little more cleanly as there was still some evidence of previous guests stays. Also, the room with the pyramid bed was missing the trundle bed. Overall, it was a really nice time and I would recommend the house.

Nice house, poorly managed

The Oasis was well stocked, welcoming, and a good size for the three families (9 guests) on our trip. Rooms were spacious, furniture was comfortable, and the pool was a great asset for the week. I can’t say anything positive about the various property management companies involved (VRBO, Long & Foster, and Costal Linens). I realized after booking the house that I paid an additional $700 by booking through VRBO instead of directly through Long & Foster rentals. Check in was advertised as 3pm. At 6:30, I called Long & Foster and they told me they were “obligated” to hand over the keys so I could pick them up, though the cleaners and maintenance team were there until 7:45 (despite being there late, I wouldn’t describe the state of the house as “clean”). The Wi-Fi worked less than intermittently, which is an issue when your baby monitor runs on Wi-Fi. The outdoor trash bins were overflowing when we arrived, and without any sort of welcome book outlining key info about the house and area, we were uncertain of when it would get picked up. We emailed about several issues and never received a response from Long and Foster. Coastal Linens picked up the boxes for our linens a day early. When I called they said if they couldn’t get someone to deliver a new box, we should just leave the linens on the front porch, which was a disappointing response.

Bigger than expected

We were suprised by the actual size of the house. It was larger than the pictures show. The pool is also heated which was amazing on the cold nights. The house was in a gated community which was amazing for privacy. Directly off of coastal highway so it was easy to find. The house was amazingly clean when we arrived. I would absolutely stay again.

Great Space for groups

The house was great, large enough to give everyone a space to interact and to get away from the group if they wanted to. Nice neighborhood!! My only negative would be there were a few things like lights in important areas like the dining room that didn't work and although they provided a way to report it, once I did no one ever contacted me as stated. Overall it was a great getaway, everyone in my group loved it.

Spacious house, needs some updating

House very large with plenty of places to hang out and relax. Pool was nice, just the right size. 2 out of the 4 showers were not draining properly from day 1, needs to be addressed. Living room TV worked intermittently, was frustrating at times. The listing said 3 minute walk to beach, not even close. But we had a parking pass. That was not given to us upon check in, apparently the owners of the home decided not to renew their parking permit due to a previous guest losing the pass. We were not told that so I called and was able to obtain a pass. Street was very quiet, which was nice. House has a big water tower next to it but we didn’t really mind, it was a good landmark when we were out and about so we knew when we were getting close to the turn onto the street! The biggest suggestion I would make is bring large plastic totes to store food in, there are a lot of small ants but as long as you keep open food off the counter you don’t see them. Overall it was a nice house, I would probably stay again.

With all going on during these crazy times, it was PERFECT to have our own pool. The house was very accomadating and met all our needs and beyond . I definitely would consider renting this property again.

Family vacation in Bethany

The house was perfect for our annual family vacation. We especially enjoyed that the house had its own pool, which was enjoyed by all. The layout of the house was perfect for us and fitted us well for our week vacation. The only thing negative I have to say is the outdoor furniture is lacking, and the outside pillows on chairs etc, need to be replaced, from being outside they are worn and mildewed. Otherwise we had a great week at this vacation home

Good Property

Our family enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. The owners sister that cleaned the place seemed really nice and let the family in a little earlier than the designated check in. They went by to see the house to get an idea of where it was and ran in to the owners sister while there. That caused a bit of a stink at the rental office as they didn't seem very happy that happened and I was told so. There are a few suggestions to make it even better. The pool patio needs redone as the pavers are uneven and can create a tripping hazard. There are also a few things inside that need touched up. While I understand that keeping things in perfect condition is next to impossible given the amount of people in and out, I think some things can be paid attention to a bit more. Some of the dresser drawers don't work properly. There were also a LOT of ants in the bedrooms and kitchen. There was some ant spray left in the laundry room and that helped some for the rest of the trip. Some of the furniture on the patio is becoming dry rotted and will need replaced soon. The only other complaint I have is the internet was really spotty and dropped out a lot. I don't know if it was an issue with the router or the cable provider. It was almost unusable. The house is on a cul-de-sac and there are no cross streets, so traffic is minimal. There is also a stream behind the house that is home to lots of wildlife. There are snakes, frogs and toads back there. And, lots of mosquito's! Overall, it's a really nice house and they seem to do a good job keeping it up. Some minor fit and finish things, but again, given the turn around for guest to get in/ out, there probably isn't much time to do a lot. Thanks for the great house!
