The room was nice and very clean. Didn't care too much for the property management staff at the gate. The office staff was great and made up for the lack of information they didn't have at the gate.

Perfect for our needs!

This was our first experience with vrbo and staying somewhere not a hotel and our first vaca with our pups! It was great, clean and worked for what we needed!

Sandpiper Cove is great; unit needs some improvement

The couch is extremely stained and dirty as well as the mattresses. The couch mattress is not usable. The bed mattress was fine but dirty. Thankful we brought our own sheets and blankets. The bathroom drains don’t drain well. We had a concern and sent the owner a message and never got a response. We have been to Sandpiper before and always enjoy our time and will be back, but wouldn’t stay in this unit again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the actual condo was nice. Short walk to the beach, which was also nice. However, the actual condo needs major upgrades if not a total renovation. Other units and the pools also look like they at least need a paint job and some touching up. Our specific units shower was really terrible, halfway worked. The door was hard to open. Kitchen was small but nice. Sleeper sofa needs new mattress, as you could feel the bars underneath. I would recommended the general property but not the actual condo we stayed in.

Simple fixes

My fault that I did not read close enough there is no designated bedroom, bed, couch, kitchen all right there together. My husband and 2 16 year old daughters maybe it tight and no privacy. Condo really needs to be for couples only. We brought our pet and area was very pet friendly. The pet station ran out of bags and was never refilled. We just made sure to always take our own when we went out for our walks. The drain in the bathroom sink wouldn’t work to let water drain out, had to hold that up to Let water drain out of. But nasty after you have brushed your teeth to reach in and hold the thing up to let water drain.

The main problem was some misrepresentation of guidelines. And I can't say it is all the property's fault. When I booked my stay on Travelocity, I got a confirmation from Travelocity, then Expedia, then VRBO, then from the actual property itself. So when I booked a pet-friendly room on Travelocity, it didn't have extreme pet restrictions that came with after paying the deposit. I was trailering a new motorcycle. None of the information I was provided mentioned no trailers on the property. However, they were more than prepared for it to be a problem as they had a list of a couple of places to store it when you entered the gate. And it cost me $210 to store the trailer for a week.(actually 6 days) The condo was clean and everything I used worked fine. But overall it is time for a refresh.My last stay was at a different condo property. It was also across the street from the beach. But I could still sit on the balcony and listen to the waves roll in. I couldn't hear the waves at all. I don't usually give bad reviews. And almost never give bad ones. And again the miscommunication on the issues I mentioned may not have been all the property's fault. But overall this really was not a good stay.

Reviewer Comments: My wife and I booked this for a fun getaway.The location was nice but the first thing we saw was a Storm door hanging off it's hinges...not a good sign. The condo was semi clean and cozy. The decor was cute. The bathroom was weird with a step to get to toilet. The bed was comfortable but some kind of bed bugs was biting me the entire time leaving a rash! If the owners would give a little more attention to this it would be a better stay probably.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is very cute with the Margaritaville theme. The kitchen had everything you would need except an ice make in the freezer. The bed in the unit slept well and it was very quite. The bathroom was a little odd with the step up to the toilet and tub. I have bad knees so this wasn't the best every time I needed to use the toilet or shower. The unit is so cute a complete remodel of the bathroom would go along way. I have stayed at other units on property and due to the no ice maker and step-up in the bathroom I won't pick this unit again. If neither of these items are of concern to you then you will like the unit and why I have named this mixed feelings.

Was comfortable enough for a short stay. Pools & hot tub clean. Easy access to them. Lot of towels, dishes and linen. Cute patio. Easy check in process. Staff at gate and checking the premises 24/7. All very helpful and friendly. Across the street from the beach — we drove over— always had parking. Ricks Sand Bar & Grill- next to the private beach access, delivered great bar type food and service!My only complaints — needs a new shower head/apparatus. And the steps — 23 to the 2nd floor. Was very tedious packing everything up to the room. Overall we had a great stay.
