The Barnhaus at Treetop Lodge—formerly The Studio—was completely and meticulously renovated for 2025. This handcrafted retreat sleeps 7 (2 kings, 1 bunkbed and a sofabed) with luxe TVs, a high-speed gaming PC, hot tub, firepit, EV Charging and gym. Set on 14 private acres with hiking trails through the forest that lead to a secluded lakefront. The private hot tub with string lighting is where rustic charm meets high-tech comfort—surrounded by nature and built for relaxation or play.

Tucked beneath a towering coastal canopy on 14 private acres, The Barnhaus offers exclusive access to winding forest trails that lead to a secluded lakefront dock—perfect for morning coffee, quiet reflection, or casting a line. Step outside to your private deck, where a fire pit and picnic area overlook the woods and filtered lake views. Inside, premium finishes and natural textures create a warm, elevated space, while a dedicated workspace and discreet tech integration make it ideal for extended stays or creative retreats.

Whether you`re unwinding in the hot tub beneath the trees, exploring the lush trails, or simply soaking in the stillness of the Pacific Northwest, The Barnhaus delivers a one-of-a-kind escape that’s both grounded and inspiring.

You will have access to the whole barn which includes the washer and dryer, outdoor area with steps to the firepit and hot tub as well as an adjacent deck for wildlife viewing and plenty of parking.

The driveway is also pull thru if you`re towing but in the rainy season we do recommend 4 wheel drive if going out the back driveway. Otherwise a regular passenger vehicle is fine if you use the front driveway.

We don’t live onsite, but you’ll have full privacy to relax and enjoy the entire 14-acre property, which you`re free to roam and explore at your leisure. The only other neighbor is our A-Frame vacation rental tucked just out of sight, so it still feels like your own private forest. If you need anything during your stay, our wonderful property manager Vicki lives just up the road and is always happy to help. Whether you`re hiding out or need a hand, you`re fully covered.

Located up the mountain and close to the downtown city of Lakeside where there is a grocery store, restaurants, and a local hardware store. 10 minute walk through our 12 acres to the lake or two mile drive to the nearest marina. Situated on the hilltop in the trees overlooking Tenmile Lake and the city of Lakeside.

Tenmile Lake is a magical place where dozens of streams and creeks flow into the lake, filling it to various levels throughout the year, with one creek flowing out into the Pacific Ocean. It connects ocean with sand dunes, sand dunes with lake, lake with forest. It’s best accessible via car, renting a boat from the local marina or renting quad/ATV’s from Spinreel Dunes.

We welcome up to 7 guests (but really 6 comfortably) as 1 would have to sleep on the living room sofa at The Barnhaus. Sleeping arrangements include two private bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, and a cozy twin bunk bed tucked into the hallway next to the master—perfect for kids, complete with a charming sliding barn door. Please mind the “watch your head” sign as you descend the staircase. For a seventh guest, we provide bedding for the main living room couch, which many have said is surprisingly comfortable for a restful night.

You’ll have direct access to the lake via a scenic trail that winds through our 14 forested acres. At the end, you’ll find a small dock—perfect for fishing, swimming, or simply enjoying the serenity of the water.

If you plan to use the outdoor firepits, please bring your own firewood. Firewood is available locally at McKay’s (a great spot to stock up on groceries) or Hennick’s, our neighborhood lumber store.
House Rules & Policies:

Guests must be at least 21 years old to book. If you have no prior positive reviews on Airbnb, we may not be able to approve your reservation request.

We’re proudly pet-friendly! There’s a one time charge of $50 per stay for up to two pets. We simply ask that you vacuum any excessive pet hair and promptly clean up after your furry friends.

Absolutely no parties are allowed. Unauthorized parties, smoking, loud disturbances, or disruptive gatherings will result in a $500 fee and may involve local authorities. We take the peace and safety of our property and neighbors seriously.
