The list of rules are extensive. Please review them carefully before booking. My rating is independent of the rules because itâs my fault for not reading them throughly before booking. My rating is based on the following: 1) The images advertised show 2 large BBQ grills in the backyard. I was frustrated to find that the large standalone grill was not there and the built in BBQ grill does not work. The host stated that a separate grill was provided to accommodate for this, but this grill was smaller and was not clean. We planned on grilling steaks, but instead we cooked them on the stove top. 2) We used the dishwasher on day 1, but noticed that it was not draining properly so we washed the dishes by hand for the rest of the trip. The host was informed. 3) The downstairs bedroom gets hot and the upstairs rooms are colder. There were only about 2 extra blankets provided. Consider bringing extra blankets for use upstairs. Pros: 1) The host responds quickly which is good b/c youâll need to contact them to adjust the thermostat. 2) The retreat is beautiful. PLEASE BE AWARE: There are 2 cameras in the front yard and 2 in the backyard facing the entertainment space. Depending on how you feel about cameras, you might feel like youâre being monitored. Only 2 dogs are allowed max (no other animal types). The dogs should be disclosed to the host at the time of booking since they cost extra. All in all, I think this retreat is suitable for people with children who desire a quiet stay.
