Charming 2-bed cottage located in the peaceful, 4x4 area of Carova Beach

Carova Beach is waiting for you at this charming 2-bedroom cottage with a large screened in porch on the back facing the refuge and another large porch on the front with rockers to sip your coffee in the morning with the sunrise. This location is frequently visited by wild horse friends in the morning which is always a fun way to wake up! This cottage has a king bed, a queen bed, and a futon for comfortable sleeping up to 5. Two full baths each featuring shower/tub and an outdoor shower for after long day at the beach. Fully stocked kitchen with coffee maker, crock pot and all the basic cookware and spices for your convenience. Enjoy the cozy living room on 2nd level with large plasma(and a decent assortment of DVDs), as well as, a game room with a foosball table and a sit down multicade, featuring dozens of your favorites/classics! AC, WIFI, washer/dryer, propane grill, firepit and a lovely short walk to the beach (5 blocks/10min). We hope you'll enjoy your stay at our cottage.

Note: AC and heat services main level(king bed) and 3rd level(queen). Game room(ground level) stays fairly cool, but have a fan for extra comfort. And an electric heater for winter stays.

Everything was great! We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The host offers everything you would expect and offers some basic things like beds, blankets and bowls for your pups in case you forget. Very clean and so well equipped!! Loved our stay. The drive in on the beach ranged from tricky to a nightmare just be prepared for anything and you’ll have a great time. Ps- Camel Tow is very close if you need a helping hand in the sand. 🤣. Cannot say enough good about hose or host

This property was amazing!! We enjoyed our welcome basket with s’mores makings to use with the fire pit! The house was beautiful and had all we needed! We loved the beach and seeing the horses! Definitely a memorable first trip to the OBX!

A secluded weekend away

Beautiful, quiet retreat nestled in the woods just minutes from the beach. Modern appliances and well maintained house. Absolutely loved the screened in porch, it was nice to sit in and enjoy a bottle of wine in the evening, or a cup of coffee in the morning. Unfortunately hurricane Erin cut our visit short, but would definitely visit again!

Best Rental we have had in years

This house and everything inside was like brand new and spotless. It was perfect for our family of four and dog. The price was great, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the owners communication was superb. We had so much fun in the beach and saw lots of horses. I highly recommend this place!

The property was amazing, very clean, relaxing, comfy. It felt like home. It wasn't your normal property. Renea has went over and beyond in making your stay relaxing and efficient. She doesn't just provide basics, she has all the little touches, comfy blankets, every appliance you could need, spices, all the beach chairs, umbrella, etc. I will be booking this home again for next year. Thanks for the amazing stay!!!

The house was fantastic! The hosts were very communicative and everything was as described. Not many places allow 3 dogs and they were very happy with the bowls and dog bed they provided. They honestly loved the dog bed so much I'll have to get them one like it. The area was really serene and peaceful. Walkies with the dogs were so pretty with it sitting back in the woods. Only being 1/4 mile from the beach was also a big plus. We did some night fishing and didn't have to drive forever to get back to the house. We will definitely book again.

Renee provided an amazing stay! The house and location were very nice and peaceful. They were very respectful and had great communication. If we needed something they were quick to make sure we were helped. The house was very clean and the arcade games are an amazing added bonus. We were able to have fires as well as a short trip to the beach. The outdoor shower was super helpful especially with our dog. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to be close to the beach but have some additional privacy in the woods. They had a bunch of beach necessities and some added extra goodies waiting for us.

Fun, comfortable and quiet

The property is beautiful and serene. The home was inviting and comfortable. We all had something we enjoyed in the house. I enjoyed the screened in porch, my husband enjoyed the comfortable bed. Our grandson loved the foosball table and the games. Our little one loved going up and down the stairs. My daughter enjoyed the tranquility, her children in a quiet setting and the dogs loved sitting out on the deck and looking down at the yard. Oh, driving on the beach was an experience none of us had ever had. Renee was always easy to reach and very helpful. Wonderful host.

Lovely Home with Thoughtful Touches in Heavenly Location

My husband and I were fortunate to spend 8 days here. The home is lovely and the owners have provided such thoughtful touches. The pups have their own blankets, bowls, and beds available. Unlike many rentals, even laundry detergent and fabulous name-brand coolers are available for your use. It feels like you are at a friend’s home. There are personal pictures and even a coffee table made from the owners’ wedding sign. You will not be disappointed if you stay here! This is assuming you like things the way they are in Carova Beach…far from the hustle and bustle of the commercialized world. The back of the property is a forest and the beach is just a short drive over the dunes with your 4x4 vehicle. Heaven!

Our new yearly getaway

This marked our inaugural visit to the Outer Banks, where we found the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. The area's charm was enhanced by frequent visits from wild horses, which spent considerable time with us. The vacation house exceeded our expectations, thanks to Ben and Renee's meticulous attention to detail. They provided an impressive array of amenities, including blankets for our pets, comprehensive kitchen essentials, games, and beach gear. The house's cozy atmosphere, spotless condition, and inviting decor made us feel instantly at home. Our teenage daughters had an unforgettable beach experience, filled with relaxation, excitement, and adventure. We were impressed by Renee and Ben's warm hospitality and genuine kindness. We are already planning our annual return to this exceptional getaway. The thoughtful touch of including a table on the screened-in back porch, a nod to their wedding, was particularly appreciated. Overall, this was the most enjoyable vacation we've had, and we're grateful to Ben and Renee for sharing their beautiful beach house.
