MAISON FAMILIALE SUR LE LAC MICHIGAMME

Le camp Pops-and-Beers repose sur 200 'du rivage du lac Michigamme. Cette maison récemment rénovée dispose de 4 chambres, 2 salles de bains et bénéficie d'un grand plan d'étage salon / cuisine / salle à manger ouvert avec un foyer au gaz en pierre des champs et des fenêtres du sol au plafond qui donnent sur la vaste terrasse et le bord du lac.

Notre rénovation de 2015 au niveau inférieur ajoute une grande salle familiale avec table de ping-pong, salle de cinéma et de jeux, ainsi que la 2e salle de bain et la 4e chambre.

Un sentier de gravier facile à parcourir vous mènera à travers les arbres jusqu'au bord du lac, où il y a une grande zone de foyer à quelques pas du quai et de la plage / zone de baignade. Pas de bruit ni de vue sur l'autoroute ici. Le lac atteint 70 pieds à son point le plus profond. Avec 27 îles et 95 miles de rivage, ce lac de plus de 4000 acres est idéal pour tous les sports d'été ou d'hiver. Certains de nos favoris incluent: le kayak, le wakeboard, le ski nautique, les tubes, la voile, la pêche, la natation, la raquette, la motoneige, le ski alpin, la pêche sur glace et la luge / les tubes.

Absolute slice of heaven! The views are gorgeous. The house is spacious and spotless! The most well-appointed kitchen I’ve ever seen. It was a joy to cook! The property is beautiful. We kayaked, floated and fished all day long. We had a front row seat to the most beautiful sunsets from the fire ring. I have never had a more relaxing vacation. Don’t forget to wave at every boat that cruises by!

Great place! The lake is fantastic and the home is very comfortable. We enjoyed being able to walk down the path to the water & swim and kayak, and enjoy coffee overlooking the lake each morning. Big deck for dinners outside was nice too.One thing I would note for other travelers is that towels are not provided at the house, and neither are the washer & dryer. We're a big family so that was tricky for us to not have for several days. But, we had a great trip here and Lake Michigamme is absolutely beautiful!

Beautiful lake!

Excellent lake for kayaking; we had calm water and sunny days! We enjoyed the outside space, firepit and deck were excellent gathering spaces. Plenty of space inside for 8 adults! Clean and comfortable!!!

Great Ride

Eight of us stayed in the home on Lake Michagamme for a three day snowmobile weekend. The trails are jsut across the lake and easy to get to. Gas is also right there. The home was very comfortable and had all the amenities. The driveway was a bit tight for three trailers but we made it work. We would stay again.

Beautiful property

This property was beautiful! Easy access to the water. We enjoyed swimming, fishing, boating. We were able to bring our boat and keep it right at the dock. The home was perfect for our getaway! Gorgeous inside and out. The owner was so easy to communicate with and even gave us an idea for something to do during our stay! Lots of roads/trails to ride a side by side/four wheeler on. If you are lucky enough to stay here, do it! Peaceful and relaxing!

Beautiful house on a beautiful lake. Had one stormy day, but the house was comfortable with games and movies so there was no problem. Brought our boat and were on the lake every day. Very little lake traffic. Check out the driveway before you pull in with a trailer. There is not much room to turn around. Highly recommended.

Michigander Vacation Home

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Northwoods this month. This rental property was roomy enough for 11+ people to sleep comfortably. The finished basement was an excellent getaway for the kids (ages 7 &10) and their friends when they were done swimming in the lake. There's plenty to do even on cool days including kayaking, fishing and biking. This rental is more of a home than a cottage so if you are looking for deluxe accommodations in Michiganme, you won't be disappointed. We will definitely head back in 2016!

Family of 4 from Wisconsin

We thoroughly enjoyed every day of our trip to Michigamme and this beautiful lake home. The house is immaculate yet comfortable, with plenty of room for 2+ families. The lake frontage includes a small beach for the kids, a large dock perfect for fishing or just enjoying a sunset. Our favorite activity during our week stay was to kayak from island to island on the lake. At night, we'd have big campfires on the shore. The one day that it did rain was spent inside playing games by the fireplace. We also enjoyed short day trip to Marquette for some fun by Lake Superior and dinner out (Vangoh's pizza). If you go, bring your bikes because there's a trail running along the highway that we plan to try next time. We will definitely head back! The owners were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

Fantastic Family Fun and Relaxation

Our two families could not have asked for a better cabin getaway. Inside: separate living room upstairs and beautifully built-out basement fun room (ping pong table!!, video games, vhs's galore); clean and well-functioning bathrooms; multiple fans in all areas; any cookware (including pancake griddle and margarita machine) you could want; fireplace to get the chill out in the morning; etc. Outside: fire pit for nightly bonfires, smores, and catching up; perfect dock and rocks for relaxing and playing; near multiple walking/running/biking trails; Warrior Island water fun a couple miles away at Van Riper; very well stocked Michigammee Market for anything you didn't bring. Communication with Tammy was very easy and efficient. We can't thank Tammy enough for letting her share her home with us and hope that we can come back yearly.

Family Vacation

Our family loved our five days staying in this beautiful place. The house is lovely and the walk from the house down to the water stole the show with the ferns dotted with wildflowers. It was just magical. From the dock, we were able to see a beautiful sunrise and sunset each day. The two kayaks that come with the rental were a huge bonus for us. There were a few mornings where the water was like glass and we were the only ones out on the water. We loved fishing from the bank, the dock, and the kayaks. There is a space beside the dock that was perfect for my daughter to splash around in and the fire pit area was so great in the evenings. The ping pong table was also fun to have in the evenings. It took us about 55 minutes to drive to Marquette where we found a secluded beach to enjoy and one day we drove a little less than 2 hours to Pictured Rocks. We had a great experience and would definitely come back!

Very pleasant quiet stay for 3 adults. We were able to dock our 17 foot boat easily. As someone else noted, plan your approach with a boat before going down the driveway, easier to back it in and not much traffic on the road so it was fairly easy to do. The house is beautiful, private and well maintained. Had everything we needed. My daughter and I really enjoyed lounging on the deck while we read. It is a slow slope down to the lake area where the firepit is and such a nice view from there. We enjoyed watching the sunsets and looking for shooting stars. Just a heads up, it takes some agility to get to the actual lake from the yard as there are not steps, just some fairly flat rocks to make your way. We had brought a small hand truck to bring the boat battery up the hill for charging and moving a cooler. Just a suggestion for packing. Hope this information makes someone else's vacation better! We truly enjoyed our week. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

Family visit

The house and woodland setting are lovely. Very clean. There were some basic seasonings at the house. Families with children will love the loft and game room. There are only 2 double beds, so adult couples traveling together will have to decide who sleeps in the twins. Would have liked to have towels provided, as we flew across country, but we knew this in advance. We were surprised to discover that the washer/dryer included at booking was no longer available, but we made do. I left a bracelet behind and the owner graciously notified me and offered to return it. It’s a quiet, comfortable home not too far out of town in a beautiful setting. Doe and fawn nestled in the lupine field a couple of mornings. Mosquitoes are fierce early morning and after dusk so bring repellent!

Lake Michigamme is a beautiful lake and the house was equally wonderful. There was a little area by the dock my daughters could look for rocks and play in the water which they loved. The day we arrived the freezer wasn’t working I contacted Tammy and by that night they had a brand new fridge/freezer installed for us to use. Absolutely wonderful vacation can’t wait to go back in the future!

Beautiful Property!

This property has everything you are looking for! The house is very clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated! We were able to have nine people and didn't feel cramped at all. Lake Michigamme is very big. We rented a boat and fished all day. There is a fire pit by the lake, bring your own wood. The sunsets are beautiful! The owner's are very nice and respond very quickly! It's a great place to stay!

Beautiful and exciting

This place was so beautiful, right on the water. We stayed with a group of 8, which this place accommodated without any problem. We were able to visit the Porcupine Mts (about 2 hrs away), multiple waterfalls, hike and fish around the lake, and enjoyed kayaking and swimming around Lake Michigamme. Only bummer was we weren’t able to use the washing machine, which Tammy let me know about around a week ahead of our stay. We had a nasty storm roll through one of our nights, in which water started pouring into the basement. Luckily we had some handy guys with us and helped stop any possible damage from occurring. Tammy was grateful for our help and even offered us one night free! 🙂 It’s a wonderful house on a beautiful lake! We’d definitely come back!

Our host did a very good job making sure to let us know everything that we needed before coming to the UP of Michigan to go snowmobiling for four days. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!! Definitely one of the top 10 Airbnb’s that we’ve stayed in

wonderful lake get away in the upper pennisula

The home was beautiful and well maintained and had everything we needed to make it a great vacation with family. There was a great fire pit near the lake and firewood was easy to obtain close by. Michigamme Lake is a spectacular lake in the heart of the upper peninsula and close to a lot of outdoor activities. We would definitely recommend it and stay again.

Perfect!

Camp Pops ~n~ Beers is a perfect peaceful getaway for fishing, campfires and relaxing. We immediately felt like we were home. It was very clean and had everything you might need for cooking. The view was beautiful and the swing under the deck with netting over it....ahhhh. Location is great for a day trip to Lake Superior in L'Anse. Even found gluten-free pasties in Negaunee about a half hour away. Thank you for sharing your space with us. It was fabulous. Tammy was very accessible and helpful. We loved our stay.

We are an active family of 4 from Wisconsin that loves the outdoors & searched throughout Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for over 6 years for the perfect lakefront property. In the fall of 2005 we found Camp Pops-and-Beers located on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigamme and fell in love. The cottage was a bit rustic to put it mildly, but the property was absolutely spectacular. After purchasing it in the fall of 2005 we finished the construction of our new cottage in the winter of 2007. When finally completed our dream of having a family vacation spot in the north woods had been realized. Needless to say we are absolutely in love with the outdoor surroundings and all the amenities our cottage offers.

The cottage is only 12 years old and had the lower level updated in the summer of 2015 to add a 2nd bathroom & 4th bedroom. The house has all the luxuries of home. It is private, giving you the feeling of being secluded in the woods, but is located centrally in the Upper Peninsula so if you just want to sit by the lake, watch the kids swim & enjoy a beautiful sunset you can or if you want to do a day trip to nearby Marquette or Houghton/Hancock and discover a great restaurant, take a glass bottom boat tour or hike to a waterfall you can do that too. The choices at Camp Pops-and-Beers are endless. If you can picture yourself and your family doing any of these things then this is the dream vacation destination for you.
