The property was really good. Close walking distance to beach and other areas. Very clean and had everything we needed. A couple issues were the first bedroom stayed cold and other bedrooms were warm. There is no exhaust fan in kitchen, so the alarm would go off every time we cooked(we took it down), the last night there someone stole one of my husbands fishing rods from truck. Overall the condo was great.

Ocean Walkable unit!

This was a great setup. Our first time in OKI and we loved it. This 3 bed room was very spacious and had most everything you could need for a week Vaca. Beds were comfy and linens were adequate. The unit had 2 extra folding beds (we didn’t need but great in case) , 2 PlayStation consoles and a library of games which was a nice surprise for the kids. The unit also had beach buggy’s and chairs for use which is convenient as well. The pool and area was nice and very clean. There are elevators as well that make it convenient to get belongings up and down without having use stairs. There isn’t much of a Ocean view as it claims unless you lean over the deck. And the railing on the deck is not connected on each end which poses a hazard. It’s only anchored by a center and two outer poles from the bottom. Terrible design (all units seemed to be this way so it’s a design flaw from the condo builder) The unit could have used a little better cleaning by the cleaning crew, especially since the price you pay for that is so high. And especially considering that you have to make and unmake all the beds yourself upon arrival and departure and wash and put away all dishes.

Very pretty and accommodating place to spend the week.

Only complaint was we couldn't get any tv to work. No big deal for us. It was nice to not have a TV, at least for me.

Condo cleanliness was horrible. Food, shoe prints and nose waste on walls and bedding. Humans waste all over toilets. Poor housekeep, feet were black after walking on floor. Had to mop numerous times. Flooring is ripped up. Furniture is in bad shape.

Loved oak island

The only thing that could have been better was the condo was a little under cleaned when we got there. We had to pretty much clean the whole place. Other than that it was a great experience.

Great Beach

We loved Oak Island and this condo was great however, the description is misleading. The only way to see the ocean is to lean over the balcony. The cleaning crew isn't hitting on much. Under the sofa and beds haven't been cleaned in a while there was a ton of dust under each each one. I had to clean the chairs on the balcony before we could use them. The TV in one of the bedrooms didn't work at all. Maintenance called Spectrum to come by so we made an appt they said they would be there at 5:00 the next day we waited until 6:30 and they never came. We were on vacation and didn't want to sit in the room waiting on someone. We were there from Sunday to Sunday and never saw anyone clean the pool. The rental company didn't offer us anything for the problems we encountered. Love Oak island but won't use this company again.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I am sorry you encountered poor housekeeping issues. We would have been happy to send a housekeeper over to take care of the missed items. Unfortunately, we don't have control over Spectrum Cable's schedules. The best we can do is call and hope they show up when scheduled. Pool cleaning is usually scheduled VERY early in the morning so as not to inconvenience guests. I do hope you give us another try. We would really love to SEA you again soon.

Needs updating and clean up

We enjoyed our stay but the condo needs some very deep cleaning. The carpet especially needs cleaned or replaced. The baseboards and corners were very neglected. The distance to the beach wasn’t a bad walk. The location of the condo complex was very convenient.

Great place!!!

This place was exactly as described and even better!!! It’s a very short walk to the beach! There was a beach cart and chairs which made carrying everything so easy. The rental company was wonderful and easy to work with. The only downfall of our vacation was the rain. I am definitely planning another visit to Oak Island and would love to rent this same condo again. It had plenty of room for 7 of us. (We did bring extra towels, our own TP, soap and paper towels so we were prepared, however the rental company supplied a nice starter kit :)

Summer 2018

I enjoyed my stay but was very mislead on the accommodations. The description that I booked my stay from said :3 Bedrooms 2 1/2 bath,2 Kings, 2 Doubles, & 2 Twins. When we arrived, we had 2 Kings and 2 Doubles. When I called the agent handling the condo, they told me they had never listed the property as that and was not concerned with the situation. I also had to make all the beds upon arrival and have never had to do that with any other condos that I have stayed in. I feel you need to correct the description of the property at this location as it was not what I paid for when I booked. The situation inconvenienced our sleeping arrangement for the entire week.

Hello Jean. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I would like to apologize for the miscommunication and confusion regarding the beds/sleeping arrangments. In the future, we do offer rollaway beds through our rental agency. Our beds in the properties are made with the comforters/bedspreads but we do not make the beds with the sheets and pillowcases so that we can ensure that all of our guests are aware that their sheets and pillowcases are switched prior to their arrival. Again, I am so sorry for this confusion. We hope to SEA you on your next vacation to Oak Island.

Nice location and minute walk to beach. Nicely sized condo though it was dirty upon arrival.

Nice condo and location, though the condo was dirty when we arrived, as garbage and linens from previous renter was left and House keeping seemed to have missed it. After my family cleaned the condo, it fit all of our needs. Nicely sized space with convenient shopping locations near by, and the beach was literally a minute walk. I would rent here again despite issues hit on day one.

Awesome Vacation

It was our first trip to Oak Island and stay at Ocean Walk. We LOVED everything about the island and the condo! The condo was very clean, nicely furnished and accommodating. Kitchen was well stocked, beds rooms were very comfortable with lots of room for your belongings , living area was also comfortable. There was a beach cart, chairs and toys available which made the short walk to the beach easy. Everything was easy walking distance including the grocery store, a dozen or more restaurants, beach store, ABC, bike rental shop and of course the Dairy Queen! Island was super nice for biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and walking. Will be returning again!

Clean Place

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. We found everything clean modern and all toiletries were provided. We have two kids and they loved the pool and the short walk to the beach. You can see the beach from the balcony as pictured in the online rental Pictures. You will not have to drive once you get there. Walked to restaurants bars and grocery store. For the $ spent very good value.

Nice Place

The condo was quite roomy and the view was great. However I agree with the last review - no soap and no toilet paper. I managed to bring my own so I did not have to go right out to the store. There should be starter supplies in the condo. Also the elevator did not go up to floor #3 for some reason and that is where we were staying.

Ocean Views??? I think not...

The condo itself was very nice. Modern decor and furnishings. There was only 1/2 roll of toilet paper in 1 of the bathrooms and no extra rolls that we could find, so we immediately had to turn around and head to the store. There was also not a drop of soap anywhere...so we had to go to the store again! I went out on the balcony for the ocean view...and there wasn't one...unless you leaned over the railing and looked toward the right to see down the street. Not really my idea of relaxing on the balcony with an ocean view. The condo was, however, clean, gorgeous and relatively quiet. The pool is on the small side for the number of units in this complex and was very busy on nicer days. The listing company on this was very helpful when I was searching and asking questions. Parking was very convenient. I would recommend to others as long as they don't expect to see the ocean from the unit and bring your own hand and dish soap, and toilet paper to avoid the additional trips to the store.
